I have been running Stans Alpha 340's on Alchemy hubs. These rims have a wider internal cavity that brings the outer rim width close to 23. I run 25mm Vittoria's at 95 psi in them and the bike is more compliant and seems to hold the road better in all conditions. My race wheels are standard diameter Neuvation carbon tubs and it takes at least 2 laps on race day to adjust to the narrower wheels. I MUCH prefer the wider rims. I've ridden the 25mm tires on standard rims and on wider rims and the rims make a big difference in the turns. As an aside, switching from my Neuvation r28sl's to the Stans rims has been a very good to my hands and back. This is likely a product of a more flexible rim and higher spoke count in the Stans wheels. On bad asphalt my hands would be numb in an hour on the Neuvations and on the Stans I can ride without gloves. Wider = better

At Whole Foods, 99 cents is standard price for Clif Bars, and you get 10% discount for buying a case (I usually mix the and match to make the case).

I remember a few years ago, maybe 3 or 4, finding 99cent cliff bars in a store was extremely rare. I first noticed the 99 cent bars at uptown fairway, while other grocery stores had them for $1.50. The worst offenders of energy bar price gouging were and still are big sporting goods stores like Dick's, mini-marts and other convenient stores and regretably actual bike shops where I've seen bars priced at well over $2.
And a year or so after Fairway started pricing them at 99 cents, Whole Foods joined the game and then it was all over...except the previously mentioned locations that still have jacked-up prices on bars.

It is Reynolds. Although the cost +15 mentor discount applies to most things RB carries. I think Neuvation is really tough to beat for the price but I say that only based on my own experience. They ride nice and they've held up well.

@ Marc - I just bought the nuevation carbon tubulars, wide rim version. I did consider the reynolds, but reynolds is not moving to wide rim platform (as of now) so I decide to pass. I also decided that cheap is good and I probably shouldn't be buying either on my budget so I should get the cheaper ones.

@twoyacks @Ryan J @mperlberg and others with Neuvations:
How is the braking with the carbon Neuvation rims?
I know that some wheels were considered pretty mushy a few years ago. I have heard that some wheel manufacturers such as ENVE have improved braking drastically - even in the rain. I don't know if this is true, but expect that is why people are willing to pay their premium costs (other than a 5 year warranty and handling in crosswinds). I assume Neuvations are about the same as Reynolds or Zipp in terms of braking. Can someone confirm?
By the way, I had some aluminum Neuvations (still have them) about 10 years ago and cracked a hub on a pothole. John at Neuvation replaced it for free (or for shipping - can't remember). They were having problems with the hubs at that time. I knew a heavy guy who broke several. I haven't heard about this recently so I assume they changed/fixed their hub design.

Back when Neuvation was re-badging Zipp carbon rims, it was easy to discuss. Now that they're working with a factory in Taiwan and the wide rims are new, it's hard to write anything definitive.
I understand the price issue. For me, if I'm going to go carbon, I want something aero and I decided I was willing to pay more if the wheel was proven to be fast or among the fastest of its class. Because the wide Neuvations are new, I have no idea how the aerodynamics are.
An example. Shimano used to offer carbon tubulars in 50mm and 24mm. Turned out the 24mm rim was almost as fast as the 50mm, and much lighter. I think the 24mm is still around and that 50mm has been replaced.
