I'm giving myself another week to fully get over my flu before I go and embarrass myself again.

I might be able to join. Are any women coming tonight?

Good sesh.
Good times as usual.  I had a hard time last night and eventually dropped off Jeff's wheel on the last big climb.  Adam made up a large gap between us and caught back up to Jeff and they finished together.
I'm just a zero... until next week chaps!!
Last night was weird.  I felt like I was working as hard as usual but my watts were mysteriously lower.
Good stuff! Out sick yesterday...
Although Kayt and Daniella are probably enjoying TTing for an hour, can we figure out a way to level the playing field? There was talk of editing rider weight or is it possible to normalize somehow?
We tried "weight doping" with Bruce a few weeks ago and I think that was pretty successful?
Dropping my weight from 195 to 145 made a huge difference.  I could feel the wheel loosen immediately as soon as Erik hit the save button.  My trainer session turned out to be a good workout.  I might bump it up a little next time, depending on the course.

I don't know how to level the playing field for everyone, especially if  some riders want a hard workout.  It's possible to set riders up with individual screens and individual workouts, so you ride at your own level, but in the same room.  Else, we need Stokes to run some Linear Algebra regarding people's weight compared with the computrainer levels of difficulty.
In the end, dropping your weight for a workout that's not over the top makes for a good session, and staying up front without being out of breath is a good morale booster.
If you want a level playing field, everyone has to fess up about their FTP and then adjust weights until you have the "same" w/kg.

Still won't really account for differences in power profiles, but it should take care of the the gross inequities.
OK folks, it's time to sign up for this week's class. Don't miss out on your week's best day of training!
TriBy3 just sent me their studio rules. Apparently they are trying to tighten it up a bit:

Hi Everyone!

With more classes on the schedule and more and more people coming through the door everyday, I wanted to take a few minutes to cover some of the studio rules. Most of you have heard this before, so consider this a refresher.

-Class participants are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes prior to the start of class so that we can start on time. We realize this is not always possible, however it is TriBy3 policy that those arriving 10 minutes after the start of class be turned away without a refund.

-When you come in to the studio, please park your bike in one of the open racks in the center of the room. Your coach will mount your bike on the CompuTrainer for you.

-All personal belongings that you are not using on the bike (bags, clothing, shoes, coats, etc) should be put in to the cubbies at the back of the stage or hung from the coat racks by the front door.

-If you need your bottle filled or minor mechanical work like a seat adjustment or a tire pump, please ask your coach and she/he will be happy to do it for you. No one except TriBy3 and/or Acme employees are permitted in to the storage closet or the mechanic area. If you forgot a bottle or need a wrench, we have bottles for sale and wrenches for use at the front of the stage.

-We have two bikes available for rent during class for a fee of $5 per use, but we ask that you reserve the bike ahead of time to ensure availability and proper fit.

-No one is permitted to leave a bike behind, aside from those paying for monthly storage, without prior consent from Greg or Jonathan.

-Please avoid sitting on the fabric furniture in wet clothing.

My apologies for all of the rules, but my hope is that adherence to the above will ensure that classes run efficiently and on time, the studio looks good, and everyone is safe and happy. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me.
I'm planning on being there.

BREAKING NEWS BULLETIN

Rumor has it that long-lost KCC expat Mark "The Big Red Dog" Clifford may make an appearance at tomorrow's CompuTrainer festivities. You heard it here first. These chances don't come often so you'd best savor the flavor and don't waver, mah ... errrm ... just savor it is all.

Yep -- I'll be there for sure.  In a perverse way I have missed Wednesday basement sweat sessions.

N.B. My competition of late has been Italian septuagenarians.  So if y'all could ride at that pace, it'd be much appreciated.
Of course the one day Clifford shows up, I won't be there.  Cmon Mark.
Ditto, I'm a possible no show tonight depending on work.
I'm in.

Wrist finally healed. Woefully out of shape but excited to try finishing a course again.
