Dec 28th, 6PM: 8 slots filled, game on 6 yes: Ted(sub for Sarah), Vlad, John Malcomson, Jeff White, , Alyosha Smolarski, Eric Ragot 2 if need be: Jeff Owens, Mitch Sonies
Yeah. I love how I waited for Ragot, then tried to work with him and the gruppeto and then he takes off at end. Bad coach! It was fun tho. Shouldn't have done the Alpine repeats prior. Durrrrrrrr
Must klimb hill. Can't really slow down. Must stay in aloyosha draft. Oh no Jeff getting dropped. He rode 4 hours already. He killed me on hills in real life. Just hang on. This sucks. Hang on. Top is almost near. This sucks.
Tip. Don't have your comoutrainer spot the group half a mile. They don't wait.
re Wed night's computrainer - - the interwebs went down right after I posted the list above (ok, ok, it wasnt the interwebs, it was just kissena.info) ...
I have a handful of emails to rank and sort - I am away for work but will try hard to get something posted by this evening with who "won" on the drawing straws part so you can plan your evening for tomorrow.
Based on previous doodle responses, tonight at 6pm is cancelled, and 7:45pm is full . We have more interest post doodle though.

Is there any interest for some extra subs ? Stokes ? Owens ? Nosson ? Now is the time . Sorry I can't be there this week, but see you all on Sunday's ride and next Wednesday night.

Ended up just being Aly, Nosson and myself for 6pm... one of those saw-tooth geometric courses (19.7m). Alyosha and I were ping-ponging on the climbs/descents. Aly had an unfair advantage riding tri-bars (something to do with his fractured wrist being in a full arm cast). Nosson, not far behind, managed to ride his bike out off the trainer—too strong! We waited for 3000 clicks or so (that's right Eric). Aly attacked hard with about .3 of a mile and made me dig deep to come back at him. Not sure on the averages (thanks Neil)... 256w for me. Aly? Nosson?
What happened to the 7.45 fight club? Looked like it was going to be a doozy.
Ummm, people rode hard at the start. Vlad, Joe, Derek and I were off the front soon. I attacked a bunch of times, shed Derek, then shed Joe and Vlad before the halfway point, so I waited for them to come back. Then did the rope-a-dope a few times to knock Vlad off for good. Stuck with Joe up the big climb and did some more rope a dope but let Joe back on. Vlad asked if I was doing intervals. Nah, just playing.
At the end, Joe and I were coming in together and he flatted close to the end.
Low watts - 262 or so on my Quarq, 246 on the Computrainer. But with the door open to frigid temperatures, I doubt the calibration was super accurate either on the computrainers or the Quarq. My feet were super cold (sweaty).
I love getting fewer watts than the others... He he he.
