Im looking for a spot on Wednesday if anyone can't make it let me know

It's probably too late - but i'm stuck at work and am not going to be able to make it tonight. nosson? alyosha? interested? sorry for late notice all....
gone - taken by Alyosha....thanks for playing!
A manly mashup indeed...
The late sesh:
So I know I am not the fastest in the group but .... in my defense on this one. I am hammering this thing like mad, and the watts barely moved.
Afterwards I tell Norm "I know I can be slow, but DAMN today hit me. Maybe I was not setup right?" and Norm confirms that yeah, he thought my setting was off when we started, that I was "riding with a weight belt".

Revenge will be had next week.
No way that's right Josh
I agree. That number is way wrong.

Sesh 1 saw a commanding performance by Ragot, who took an early lead and battled hard against a merciless onslaught of mockery re: his music choice. In the end his legs did the singin'

Sesh 2 Alyosha & Whitey made an early break and stayed away until the big downhill. I waited for the eventual crack in Joe''s armor of self restraint and rode the M-Train straight up to them both. The finish was a case of Joe trying to beat me with one leg for pure sport. I pulled a quick "hunted becomes the hunter" for the W and was carried off victorious on the shoulders of five beautiful bearded ladies.
Here's the 7.45 misfits of cycling... yes, they smile like this the whole ride.
awesome John
@ Jules — Impressed that you cleaned up doing the double-down! My wattage in the second session usually drops off big time.
Props to Mitch for cranking out 286w and almost catching Ragot. And of course props to Ragot for doing the usual Ragot: winning with 12watts.
Josh - digging the beard!
On the drops anyone?
Does Norm have a cycling tan?
Joe: are you hardening up your gooch for the upcoming season by refusing to wear padded shorts? Impressive.
yeah joe!

what is the status of your gooch?!?

josh's beard is def. a rude piece of work. you look like Capt. Haddock!
Damn, Ragot, nice job. ~22.94 miles in 59:04.56 min! I think that's the best result so far?
Hey, spread the beard love!
@Christian - yes, the best time I've seen for this course. Lemme check my times and actual power outputs and avg speed for the course this season:
Yesterday - 59:08, 286w, 23.9 mph. By far the fastest - psyched to break the hour as I am not a tt person
Last part of the ride after I shed John and Mitch and avoided getting caught by Mitch (not an easy thing) - BELOW - this is mostly Tempo with excursions into threshold. But notice that if you figure out the average line, its high tempo. Perfect for my one weekly hard ride.

Last week - 1:01:30 - 262w, 22.9mph - Toying with Joe and Vlad. Eventually rode in with Joe
Dec 21 - 1:00:38, 275w, 23.9mph! - Ride with Ryan and see-saw him off midway.
Dec 14, 1:01:15, 283w, 23.7mph. I had to chase John and Mitch, then ride in.

The watts are my power meter watts, not Computrainer watts.
In all of these rides, I think I was first across the line. I had to chase in ride #2. Dec 21 was Mano a Mano with Ryan. Last week with Joe.
So, I don't know what to make of the numbers with the average MPH versus power output versus TIME. How can I average slower, but go faster?

What this all means is that this profile suits me and with undulations like the course has, I can power, recover, power, recover, etc... Plus the climbs I can manage pretty well because they are short enough. If there was a Pawling course, I'd be dead with the 10 min climb.

sorry

i thought it was pop tart crumbs
Everyone gooch is ok! I'm working on getting some pix up for peace of mind. Seriously though Adam's the 3rd person to mention the shorts. They are mountain bike shorts! Mountain Bike shorts! Next week it's full kit.
full kit including helmet!
I suggested to Joe that we divert the donations of clothing to African cyclists and instead get him some proper bib shorts.

That one really hurt.
I read somewhere once that if you ride on a trainer with an aero helmet you go faster.
We Eric needs something to divert the mockery over his music choices. I suppose Joe showing up in full TT gear might just do it...
hmm, probably 700x23 but I train on 700x25!
that could account for the discrepancy between my Garmin #'s and the Computrainer #'s.

thanks,
I've been working on this for 2 years now to get good on the trainer.

love to have you one night. you're a monster when it comes to watts compared to me.
I did Kona today. Slower than you guys did on Wednesday, but I didn't draft at all. SST at teh beginning, Threshold after the downhill. OUCH. Wednesday's ride was much easier. 290w average for the course.

You won!!!

Also, how does someone non-Kissena get added to the sub list? An NCVC friend of my brothers just moved up here.
How does one "draft" behind someone else in a computrainer competition? I'm totally ignorant of how it works.
