Yet another sickly asthma sufferer *cough, cough, cough* in the pro peloton. 

This is fascinating. This drug is not the typical first line asthma drug. If one could get a TUze for either... Why choose this one?

seems like BC is throwing Yates under the bus by leaking to the Daily Mail. Since Yates isn't on Sky it kind of deflects from the current BC dumpsterfire that is the Sutton/Brailsford run organization.

Let's give Sean Yates the benefit of a doubt. It may not be a popular opinion but I'm getting tired of knee jerk crucifixions of pro riders without knowing all the facts. Let's not forget that doping is more prevalent these days among amateurs especially in Masters categories ( Androgel anyone??) 

Thierry I don't know what evidence would possibly suffice for the statement that its more prevalent here vs there.

I think you mean Simon Yates.  Sean was definitely a doper.

As for giving him the benefit of the doubt, it's hard.  I just finished Phil Gaimon's memoir (thanks jim!) and he tells of the team doctor on Jelly Belly, a third-division pro team, asking him if he ever got out of breath climbing stairs.  He said yes, everyone eventually gets out of breath climbing stairs, and the doctor said he was asthmatic and was ready to give him a prescription.  Phil thought about it, turned the doc down.  then he told another rider on the team, and that rider thought it was bullshit; he had been through the routine before and just lied to the doc.

Doping controls in pro racing are systematic whereas in the amateur ranks they are rare.

Think Fast Freddy got those treatments when he won the National Championships???

well...I can tell you this was in the print version a couple weeks ago....so a subscription has its benefits, like letting me know what I already know = that there are ass clowns in the masters field that need to stroke their ego by juicing up before park races.  

I despise masters racing for multiple reasons, doping isn't even the main one.  Take a look see here- a guy who must be at or around 60 in one of the masters fields at the bike race I did this weekend.
