Craig, how are we at 4? Including me should make 5. Ian, Dave, you, Eric and me.
Just wanted to echo Jules' comment as well as indicate this was just a group buy which is typically harder to deal with since it requires a number of people to have similar a similar time frame for making the purchase. In this case, a powermeter isn't a simple impulse purchase for most. I do aim to have a power meter vendor become a sponsor which will allow for purchases to be made through-out the year without having to coordinate everyone's purchase.Jules said:It's important to distinguish between a SPONSOR and a group-rate discount. Our sponsors are (by and large) multi-year partners interested in helping us grow the club, and benefitting from our broad local reach.A group deal is just that. We bought custom bottles through specialized; a group deal. We have custom team-decals through Veloink; a group deal. Van Dessel gives us a preferable price - basically a group deal. You get the idea.Champion System, Cannondale, Rudy, OSMO, ACME, Ritchey and Ride Brooklyn: SPONSORS.
#ToDoTuesday Know your sponsors addresses and plan on sending postcards throughout the year. Its difficult hanging an email up in a cubicle!
Craig,
What is the deal with Ritchey? I would like to purchase one of their forks but I was told at RB that it was only available through a group buy from us.
Thank you, I will message you privately about the part.
