But what if he has a kind soul?
John refunded me $88....so no discount on the $35 shipping....but you do get the discount on the wheels and protection plan for a total of  $352     That's for 1320 gram wheels with 22mm wide rims, hand built by a guy who knows how to build wheels and a no questions asked 2 year protection plan.   Pretty good.

Craig...we need a shipping company sponsorship. STAT. Preferably FEDEX because their colors match better.
WORD !!!!
I'll get right on that.

UPS.  They have a union.  I worked at FedEx.  They are horrible.

The package has left the facility....I am wheelie excited ! (see what I did there? I used the word "wheel" and attached the "ie" suffix to convey....ah fuck it never mind)

Yacks, can you let John know that he should be ready to build up the most awesome tubular cross wheels ever for me? Because, you know. Daddy's ready to step it up to the big time.

All, so along the lines of the "try buying online from diff't devices" advice we got earlier this year, my wife Sarah, when I was bemoaning the lack of selection/deals when I was ready to buy, said that I should put said items in my cart and magically, I should get an email with an extra deal/discount.

She says that her favorite online clothing company Boden doesn't even pretend it's coincidence and embraces the full big brother creepiness of it all and sends her emails saying, "Your cart is lonely, how about a coupon?!" Or somesuch.

Anyway, I've got a pair of 25mm Pro4 Service Course Comp tires just waiting for a free shipping offer or the like. I'll see if her advice works.
@Marc, similarly... anytime I plan on buying something that's not time sensitive, I join their email list. 9 times out of 10, they'll email a nominal coupon within a few days. Usually 10% to 15% off.
I love my Osmo active hydration..
I don't usually answer surveys...but this one got my attention..

The Eagle has landed
Quick update, Cannondale sponsorship orders are on hold until Sept 1. This is an across the board hold (not just KCC or RB). Don't know why as of right now, but ordering should resume on Sept 1. If you got your order in already no worries, but new orders will be held until Sept 1.
Mounted and ridden...I miss the carbon tubs a little.  These aren't as stiff or aero but...the more supple ride should leave my knees and back feeling fresher for the finale and...I mostly ride in the slipstream of the guy in front of me anyway.  They have a wide, machined brake track that stop the bike quickly. No switching pads...like ever.  They are 22mm wide so wider tubulars on these will feel cush-cush (currently on my old 23's that seem narrow compared to beefy 25's) Narrow profile laughs at side winds (I'm lookin at you Floyd Bennet Field).  2 years no questions asked replacement = gonna put the smash mouth to these things....pot holes be damned !!!  I did take a full minute off my 18 mile short training ride on these today = new wheel placebo ? maybe...still a minute is a minute.

@Gwynna - if you are rocking a Cat1 MTB then you'd be entitled to get that discount rather than your current road category. Basically it is your highest category in any discipline.

However, since most people know your road category and nothing else, best to contact me to confirm in a specific instance.
There is no mountain biking cat 4 -- it starts at cat 3: http://www.usacycling.org/mountain-bike-category-upgrades.htm

See - what do I know? Exactly why it's best to contact me if you've got any questions or borderline cases. A Cat 3 MTB license (beginner) doesn't entitle you to the same discount as a Cat 3 on the road.

There are just so many cool colours of these shoes:

 Giro sponsorship, anyone?

It's not quite the same, but Ride Brooklyn sells Giro kicks, and we get a discount there!
Cannondale is kaput....

?? Please explain about Cannondale.

whoops...link didn't take
Wrong thread much?
I think not Vlady...as I see a direct correlation between this news and the freeze on our sponsorship.  Or maybe I inhaled too much tire sealant this weekend???
They're jumping to the yet to be renamed garmin-sharp team, so they can't be doing that poorly.

Cateye-Vizio.
OOohh...Cateye ?  I suspect they will be riding the Stealth 50 computers then ?  If so they should probably have their training camps in Kazakhstan....that's where my Stealth 50 shows me riding most days.
Strava says My longest ride was 6000 miles. I believe it terminated in Kazakhstan
