Ritchey is looking for customer feedback.

If you could take a minute to fill out this survey, they'd really appreciate it.

And there's a possibility of a small prize for your efforts.

Step 1. Figure out your correct frame size.
Step 2. Order a frame that is at least 3 sizes larger than that.

Giant is a 2015 sponsor so it's reasonable to expect instructions in the new year.
I'll be getting instructions out for ordering Giants within a week or so. The bikes won't be delivered until the new year.
anybody know a bike shops cost % for retail wheelset pricing?  Just trying to get ballpark pricing for wheelsets through Redbeard.
thanks
yacks
Yacks - it entirely depends. For instance, Ilya was asking me if anyone wanted to buy Lightweight wheelsets. He commented that at retail he would make the same amount of money on Lightweight as he would on Zipps, despite the fact that Lightweight is about twice the price. On that note, should someone want Lightweights he would offer them to the club at cost right now. He is trying to get a large enough initial order together so that he can become a dealer.
Me's think even at dealer cost...those wheels are too pricey for Yack-fu.  Besides, how could they possibly survive my cottage of wattage ?!?
Now if he would sell us zipps at cost...

Latest update on the Ritchey order. So about that time I said they shipped the order, well somehow it didn't. The response to Daryl at RB from Ritchey was (I quote) "it got lost in the matrix". They indicated it was actually sent out on 11/14 and should arrive at RB later this week.

The back ordered stuff is likely not going to ship until Dec.

Giant Bike ordering details: (EDIT - revised google doc link so that people don't have to request access to doc)

We are taking orders for Giant Bikes to be delivered in the 2015. Please place your order for a bike now, as it is much easier to get one if the order is placed now so that the rep can reserve one of the bikes being produced. The order form has a first and second choice in case the first choice isn't available. If you don't want to defer to a second choice then don't mark one down. Here is the link to the Google Doc:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XxTW2h6FjEsjIHQYv2digoqMLCauzDzwU9UDCV80kFk/edit?usp=sharing

Write your order in on the following spreadsheet and Ilya will provide your ask to Giant in groups as they come in. As I said before, the sooner the better. The bike I want in my size is currently back-ordered, which is fine since I don't need it until March/April. If the bike is available sooner it'll be delivered ASAP, meaning even a delivery this year is possible.

As a reminder, Road/CX Cats 1-3 get 40% off and Road/CX Cats 4 &5 get 20% off. MTB Cat 1s get 40% off, MTB Cats 2&3 20% off. The discount is off of the MSRP listed on the Giant site.

You can order frames this way too. Just note that it is a frame only order.

We are looking into whether the discount will apply to wheels and other accessories.
Hey Folks,

This the time of year when the Club's Mail Chimp account starts smoking from overuse because we've got so many awesome - and important - things going.

Probably the biggest is the

YEAR END PARTY - so please sign up if you haven't already - the more early signups we get, the better we'll be able to estimate food. If everyone waits till the last minute it's going to be a steady diet of ice cream and hard liquor (yeah, Yaks, I know - "what's different about that?"). Also - this is where we VOTE for the 2015 board of directors (more details on that coming soon)

2015 Waiver & Dues - you need to be a 2015 member to take advantage of these AWESOME SPONSORSHIPS, and to order next year's "soopahfine" kit.

(apologies in advance for the maniacal cross posting)
Last call for Stages order. While the order window technically closed last week, if you get your order in by 4:30pm today it will go in.

Fill out form here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1D3Jc2hKQEo7qwOea3rvISRlPYEtQ1XIfEpql6lQo72Q/edit?usp=sharing
@Craig, thanks again for making this Stages deal happen.  Super pumped to be training with highly discounted power!
It's anticipated that Stages will ship the order next week and should be at Redbeard around the 12th. More details to come.
Thank @Craig Zolan‌. Do we pay on arrival?
Jeff - yes - pay on arrival.

Ritchey order update - no news. If your stuff came in you've been contacted. If you are still waiting on items, so is Ride Brooklyn and the latest info that Ritchey has shared with Ride is mid January. I will post more when news becomes available.
Ritchey order:
I wasn't contacted, but just went in and got my stuff (stem and tires).
It might be worth calling RB if you are expecting something.
Stokes - I was asked to relay the message from Ride. All the stuff that has come in has been picked up. There is nothing there right now. They are trying to stem the tide of calls they are getting.

Craig, just wondering, any wheel deals in the works for 2015?
Marc - you looking for a wheelie good deal? (I had to). We have Nuegent / Nuevation continuing, I'm looking into Giant's wheels and whether we get the same discount. Nothing else in the works as of right now. Something you interested in?
Don't forget the Redbeard "cost-plus" deal. That's not bad.

Yeah, you know...cheap ass bike racer in the house. So yeah, the better the deal, the happier I'll be. The fact of the matter is that I haven't had a pair of proper racing wheels in action for far too long.

If the "cost-plus" deal at Redbeard is available on big-ticket items like Zipps, then well, that might be the way to go.
The Neugent stuff is surprisingly good.  Since they are all individually built...he can work with you on spokes etc.  Also should the wheels ever have issues...he addresses warranty issues quickly.  The non proprietary nature of the wheels makes fixing a spoke a layup
