THANKS YACKS!

I actually do ride a set of the R28's and have popped a couple of spokes as well. After the last repair which was some time last summer, they are running well.

I'm a creature of habit and I want to stick with them---I want to build another rear wheel for my powertap.

I'm a little behind schedule and I'm playing catch up with everything from training, race prep, and new powertap (that I had in storage since last year!!)

I'll track down Eloy's Email and reach out directly.

Thanks again,

Rick
Please post what you learn about our Neuvation deal. I've searched the forums and I can't find that information either!

Thanks,
Jeff
Eloy mentioned that he was the person to talk with when he saw that I had gotten new wheels this year. He said he might have been able to get me a better deal.
FYI all:

Myles Romanov is our current Sponsorship Director

When I ordered from Neuvation in 2009, John Neugent (the owner) required that all orders go through the sponsorship director
After reading this article, do you think it's wise to postpone ordering a Powertap/Joule?

Stephane, I'm surprised they're coming to market so fast with this new stuff. They were talking about a GPS Joule last September. I would assume that the new Joule and the new hub are probably going to be released around then. I have no inside knowledge at this moment. All the same, the new hub seems incredibly expensive, and with new technology like that, I'd probably wait until they've had the first generation in the field to work out the bugs. The new Joule will probably be better out of the box as they already have had over a year of the first generation in the field to see how it works and how to make it better.
If we get the same discount on those new carbon wheelsets as on other cycleops products that will be quite a steal.

Now we need to expand our sponsorship programs to be "testers" for new cycleops products.
No kidding. If you can get our discount on the ENVE 45mm and 65mm carbon tubular G3 hub, that would be incredible.
I had an interesting discussion with someone from a major US bike manufacturer yesterday, and they are interested in sponsorship. How does it work? Are we committed to Van Dessel? do they do more for us than the 30% discount? They seem anxious to do a deal. How shall I proceed?
Myles is the sponsorship director, email him directly at ilovetoracecross@gmail.com
Just pulled the trigger on a new Rudy helmet! It's totally gonna make me faster.

And actually fit my head.
I am excited to announce that we have acquired Challenge CX Sponsorship.
THe prices are really good and I will have them posted along with ordering instructions very soon. The order will close out on August 15. So get your needs ready and be ready to go.
Eric

just putting it out there, veltec sports has essentially closed up shop. so i think the lake/vredstein deal will have to be revisited.
Here's the news...

http://www.bicycleretailer.com/news/newsDetail/5697.html

Vredestein has a new distributor. As Veltec is either a part-owner or total owner of Lake, at least the name, it will be interesting to see if they sell it. Either way, we should probably check in to see what it happening with them and how they envision their future.
Folks, can somebody get me Myles current email address as I put some fire on my butt and I'm now on a mission to get my wheel.
We are getting new prices as I write this.
sweet! please keep us updated. thanks

Excellent....fresh meat for the grinder!
Does anyone know the club price of a Mavic Open Pro wheelset with a wireless SL Powertap? (With computer, etc.)
Just a bump - get your orders in by the 14th
Do we have a deal with Van Dessel?
Posted By: Jules RoazenDo we have a deal with Van Dessel?
Yes we have a deal with Van Dessel, generally 35% off of frames and slightly better on complete bikes. Reach out to Van Dessel through the info on their contact us page http://www.vandesselsports.com/?page_id=260

Guys,

I just got off the phone with Quarq. They offer the following team discount:

5-9 units 20% off
10-24 units 25% off
25+ 30% off

Contact me if you're interested.
@Jules. I love the fact that guys are getting involved in getting us deals. But I don't want to derail/disrupt other efforts and current relationships. In this case, I'm worried that jumping in on a Quarq, may hurt our longstanding and NICE discount (regardless of quantity ordered, we, I think, get 45% off) with PowerTap.

Years ago, when on a Clif Bar sponsored team, they wouldn't allow us to take on a drink sponsor, because they, at the time, were working on a drink.

I also think that all sponsor/deal issues should be at least trafficked (if not brokered entirely) through the team's sponsorship director, Myles Romanow. But that's a personal preference.
@Marc: MEA CULPA!

Didn't mean to upset the existing sponsors. I didn't mention specific team names; just asked about a generic "team" discount. Sounds like they have a "bulk" discount more than a team one. They didn't ask (or care) which team it was.

Again - apologies next time I'll email Myles directly. 20% for just 5 units seems like such good news I couldn't contain my excitement - a problem I'm struggling with on the bike as well :P
I dont' think its a big deal. If they are offering a bulk discount that is different than sponsorship. If they're asking for logo placement on jerseys etc. that is a bit different. but yes, forward through Myles.

Mike
good deal. nice asking Jules. On the good side, the Cycleops Joule can be used with Quarq power meters, and you can use a Cyleops speed sensor with the Joule as well.
