Ok - so if anyone is interested in putting together an order, I think we only need 3 more to get the 20% discount (BULK discount, not team sponsorship :))
What's the latest?
At a certain point we have to say the shit never came and get our money back. I think that point passed some time ago. What do people think? Do we really want to have tires laying around for 2012 MAC series? Who should handle this?

anybody got an extra set of Fango tubulars to sell to Ol' Willy?
This might be at myold place. Ill swing by tonight
My tires did not come today...boo.
I think the are all sent to me. I will stop at old place on the way to work - gotta go...
Whoops I didn't stop on the way to work. I will go this evening.
I have the tires.
"all out treads are belong to you?"
tires are mine young padawan
@ Eric: are we doing a raise-a-pint and swap some rubber soon?
anytime
I do have mixed news. Challenge sent Grifo clinchers instead of Fangos. I emaild the distributor, but have not heard back yet.
Let me know, I'll keep you in the loop.
Eric, I think I was one of the guys who order the Fangos (or whatever tire you recommended), and I would like to stick with what you recommended. With the cross season winding down, I'm sure I can manage on my current tires for a few more weekends. And wait for the right ones to use next year. Besides, it's the principle of it...we should get what we payed for. I mean, if they were giving us tires...then I wouldn't be persnickety about it.
The correct clinchers are on the way - due in on Monday
Posted By: Jeff OwensNo kidding. If you can get our discount on the ENVE 45mm and 65mm carbon tubular G3 hub, that would be incredible.
I am poking around the Saris sponsorship site, and G3 hubs have been available since November with the 45% discount.

Our codes expire Dec 31st, so if your thinking about one, buy it now :) For the big spenders, we get a $2000 annual allowance, so you can use it now, and then buy new stuff in 2012.
Has there been any news on what is up with Lake? Need some shoes…
re 2012 Saris sponsorship, copied over from the group ride and Bicycle Tech/Gear Discussion threads:
Posted By: spielbergI know this is the wrong thred but how do I purchese a power meter?
Posted By: Ros Knopov@spielberg, regarding your question about powermeters... I got mine directly from Chad @ Endurance Werx (http://www.endurancewerx.com). They're an official dealer of Quarq. I bought a Quarq cinQo Saturn system (http://www.quarq.com/cinqo) w/o any crank and had Chad install it on my Rotor 3D Q-rings & crank for a minimal fee. I like the cinQo system out of all the possible powermeter options because it's easy to maintain, allows me to use any wheelset (as opposed to a PowerTap), and accurate. My Quarq has been going strong for over a year now.

The club has had an annual sponsorship from Saris where we they offer us Powertaps and other products at 45% off.
Note for all : the percentage off is not public knowledge, and Saris asks that is not to be shared outside of the club (especially in a bike shop, don't be like "well, I could buy this PT from you, but via Kissena I can get one for 45% off" .

Prior to 2011, the sponsorship purchase period went for a short period at the beginning of the year (I believe 3 months, Feb 15th to May 15th) .
In 2011 they extended our purchase period to be the vast majority of the year ( from whenever they opened it up all the way until Dec 31st).

Its not a guarantee that we get sponsored each year - but when\if we do instructions for 2012 will be posted for everyone.
Posted By: mperlbergWe're in the process of renewing. I'll update as soon as we can info.
We will be sending in the member list to cycleops at the end of the week.

You must be paid up and have a waiver in to receive the discount, so get on those renewals!
Ride Brooklyn!
Details please... :)
Ok,

Here is the deal.

We are doing a one time group order from cycleops.

Go to their website:

http://www.cycleops.com/

Figure out what you want. Stuff will be discounted 45%.

Make sure you are a paid in full member in good standing (waiver!) of the club.

Make your decisions by April 1st and be ready to pay. I'll figure out the payment details soon.

Michael
I want the bike thong. thanks.
he said "thong"
(chuckle)
Mike,

There doesn't seem to be pricing on their site for most of the items.

But I'm going to be pretty tempted by the new wheelsets built with the ENVE rims.....

Is there a link to prices that I'm missing?
price is no object when it comes to cycling!
I'm seeing $3,200 for the Enve wheelset, which would come to $1,760 with our discount. But as Dr. Stokes points out, it's irrelevant.
:P power is over-rated...chuckle to that?
can someone tell me what kind of power tap I need and the lowest price Money is an object I dont realy have.
