I had a lezyne super gps last year...I had multiple issues with battery life syncing etc.  there seemed to a lot of value to the unit but if it is not dependable it's useless 
still love their pumps though 
I have an Edge 520 and have had a 99% good experience on it. It's shut off once mid-ride, but aside from that it's performed admirably under all conditions. Set up automatic uploads to Strava and Training Peaks and have only had issues with the former a handful of times. At worst I'll have to load the file into https://www.fitfiletools.com/ and then re-upload to Strava. 

I've been wanting to try out Wahoo's new bike computer, it looks pretty sweet and I've heard good things about Wahoo's customer service / feature updates. @BrendanRigby might be able to add more color here. 
I've owned and used both the edge 520 and 820 extensively. You won't be disappointed with the 520. Pretty standard. The 820 looks and acts mostly the same but is great if you either A) want better usability (it has a touch screen), or B) do a fair amount of rando / touring and find yourself in the middle of nowhere needing to route directions on the spot
Get the 520. Tried & true. Instant synch to strava & training peaks. Only problem is it doesn't have an infinite battery.
820 has a useful battery save mode that shuts down the screen & keeps recording data. Has saved me more than a couple times from losing my data. Also the touch screen adjusts to level of ambient lighting. Has incident detection for piece of mind & group track (which seems really awesome, but have not tried yet). Connect IQ capability allows you to pull up training peak workouts that you created in the builder. The stress score is useless...

overall there isn't anything that the 520 can do that the 820 cannot. Navigation is amazeballs on 820 as well. All depends on how much value you put on the added features...considering the $150 price difference.
One questionable experience with the Lezyne and a number of positive ones with the 520.  Sounds like it's worth the extra pennies.  Thanks for the feedback! 
520 is a pile of poorly thought out MS-DOS era junk, if I did it again I'd take a punt on the new Wahoo Bolt. DC Rainmaker is a convert, you should be too.
Garmin has blown the lead in pretty much everything they’ve done.
i have an elemnt, quite happy with it. the bolt is cheaper but smaller. i like the big font though!  then again, when i bought mine the bolt wasn't out.

i find the screen easy to read in all conditions.  the LEDs are nice too.  i can see what zone i'm in out of the corner of my eye: different colors are different zones.  flashing red = PLAID SPEED!

important caveat:  wahoo DOES NOT have workouts currently.  so if you require your computer to have a feature where it beeps at you unless you're in zone 11, don't get a wahoo.  wahoo allegedly plans to add them this fall.  they historically do add meaningful features because they are a modern company that cares about the user experience unlike entrenched ex-monopolist garmin.  for example, when the product was released it had no routing functionality.  now it does.  I've used it on rides on rural roads, good stuff.

phone integration is good too.  it has wifi and bluetooth and uploads over my wifi when i'm at home or bluetooth via my phone at work where there's no wifi

Is there a meaningful difference between 110 and 130 bcd spiders or is it just more fuckery from the fickle gods marketing hacks who create standards?
not really. generally speaking a 130 should result in just a tad more stiffness, but has a small limit of 38 teeth, which is why 110 was created. but then of course, Shimano came out and created a whole other system with four arms. because.

130/135 BCD is from the days when men were men (and used straight razors to shave their legs), and you rode a 52/42 crank with a straight block 12-23 five or six speed cassette up two hour climbs-kneecaps be damned. 

back then 130/135 BCD existed because chainrings were flimsy floppy pieces of stamped aluminum, so in order to make a stiffer crank that didn't noodle about you made a bigger spider which was made from usually a cold forged piece of aluminum which was stiffer and sturdier. Now that you can build up a chainring that can only be destroyed with Yacks sweat you can make a BCD of 110 and put a 52 tooth ring that won't bend as you crush power records. 

There are actually many other standards. This list seems to miss most of the new 4 bolt diameters that Shimano/Campy are using on their road cranks.

@eloy, that looks pretty cool but I made the mistake of watching the DC Rainmaker video. This was my first video of his, and somehow I never knew it was this guy.
It looks like vertical compliance in the fork is reduced by moving brakes from the rim to the hub.  I don't know if its so much that a reduction in tire pressure can't make up for the difference.  All the same, it could well change how the bike feels.

 @Brendan Rigby how are those Defrosters? Not water proof?

@Phil Maronilla with regards to the defrosters, yes, they are not waterproof.  it's because they use velcro for a seal along the side.  frankly, i'm not sure what Specialized was thinking.  They must have thought they were designing a shoe for cold, but not necessarily wet, weather.

then again, i've not seen a winter cycling boot that doesn't have this problem.  I think the issue is that you need to have the ability to get your foot in!  for example, take this roundup of 2016 (not 2017...) boots. they all seem to have some seam up the side.  that's where water gets in.

the water also comes down from the top through your sock, which is why when it's really coming down i wear baggy goretex overpants.  they work better that my waterproof tights at keeping the rain out of the boots.

I have a pair of older Lake waterproof cycling shoes.  The shoes are sealed, but the water comes in from the top.  No matter the design, water coming in from the top will always be an issue.  @PatrickG has a set of the newer iteration.  He might be able to shed light on their ability to keep water out.
I'd guess the fact that he bought waterproof socks may be a clue..... ;)

Ack! I just wrote a long post about waterproof shoes, socks and gloves on my phone. I hit "post comment" and  "poof" it disappeared 
In summary, my Lake high top mtn bike shoes are mostly waterproof. The waterproof socks should keep my toes toasty in the worst downpour, and my Rapha neoprene gloves kept my hands comfortable during today's rainy race at Bear Mtn. That is all
Garrigan showed me his secret $10 neoprene paddling booties with a hole cut out for your cleat. Boom.
Defrosters will be bone dry for 25-40 minutes depending on how hard the rain is. They are mostly waterproof

There really should be some kid of standard. "Use the wrong tire and our wheel fails catastrophically" feels pretty harsh.
