Hello guys,

Need advise from the experts. I’m having trouble with my disc breaks, I’m bringing for bleeding for second time this year.

So, I bought a new bike back in November with SRAM Force groupset. It’s my first time owning disc breaks.

By March I had no breaking power at all on the rear and much gone on front. Took the bike to redbeard. Two weeks later I found less braking power in rear, so I took it back to redbeard where they heard a burping sound, so they changed the rear system in guarantee.

So my bike has done ok, though spent a lot of time in the trainer, and now the breaks are reaching the drop bars again.

Is this normal? How often should disc breaks be bled? Is there something I could be doing wrong that is causing this? I’m bringing my bike again at redbeard for full service on Tuesday, is there anything in your experience that could be causing this (so I can mention it to them)?

Sounds like a leak to be honest.
yup sounds like there’s a hole somewhere or more likely some piece has not been tightened correctly or was tightened with the wrong tool and therefore damaged allowing air in n the system.

while in the trainer did you have blocks in the brakes calipers?
Nope about the calipers. Is that very important? It wouldn’t explain much still about losing the front break, or would it affect it anyway?

Thanks for your responses :)
Ended up going with the DeHänger Dan and gotta say it’s a pretty cool way to store a bike

^I guess that means not so much riding the in rain, eh?
I needed a place to put a second bike and it kind works perfectly (not pictured is my trainer bike and the peloton in front of it)
This is important

25mm only , Seriously ,so 2002
It seems this tanwall version comes with a 30 gram penalty over the blackwall version with a published weight of 255 grams over the 225 gram advertised weight of the existing version – so it seems fashion does have a downside.
But... but... but.... tan walls...
Haha fair. I think they require tubes too. It's like they made a few of these in 2010 and just found them in the warehouse.

Speaking of gumwalls, I finally replaced the super supple turbo cotton clinchers + latex tubes combo for the tried and true Conti 4000s + butyl on my primary wheels. I'll repurpose the gumwalls/latex combo for the track bike. You know, because I never use it anyway and it won't matter that they'll go flat in a week.  :'(
Has anyone else had an issue recently with a Wahoo bike computer where text message notifications stopped popping up? It was working fine, and then one day just stopped
I thought it was just me. I've noticed in the last several weeks that even if my wahoo was paired to my phone, i've stopped seeing notifications.
Ha, me too. Probably they did something wrong in the last update. On the bright side, seems to be more stable in the auto-notification when I begin a workout (mail to wife with location)
An old friend of mine is looking to rebuild an old 1980’s road bike. Any suggestions on where to look for parts beyond the obvious (google, ebay etc)?
Facebook Marketplace and buy/sell groups have been my go to for used bike parts for sometime now.
Bikerecyclery.com @Jules
Vintage modern or full vintage spec?
