@GregHoge I've seen this with corrugated cardboard as well. Basically just walk on the carboard and you're heel and cleat will both compress the carboard, add holes for the screws, line the cleat up, line the heel of the new shoe up and you should land pretty close to where you want to be (you can also use this technique by sitting on the cardboard to measure your sit bones if in the saddle market)
