Thanks Eloy and Greg, I ordered a 12 spline "cinch" bb tool which just matches up to the splines on the external cups of this one. Not sure how popular it is but now one of us has it if they come across one on a bike they're working on.

This is fascinating to me.  

I wouldn't think that the founders got rich off of selling Kona.  And the bike company seemed to be hanging on by a thread.  So, did Kent Outdoors sell it back as a loss?  And where did the founders get the money?  I don't see buying a bike company as a good looking investment these days.

This could involve a deal with creditors and suppliers (who don’t really have anything to lose here compared to the company failing right now) that believe the founders will do a better job managing it. Not doing their own b2c will save a lot of money so probably their cashflow will improve.

Had an interesting tubeless experience to share. I was not able to remove one of my WTB gravel tires off my Roval wheel. One bead popped off easily but the other was stuck so hard both my thumbs were bleeding at the nails from pushing so hard. This was clearly not the correct technique. Most likely the sealant had “glued” the bead in place? Sounds sorta crazy, but that’s what I found on Rredit.

Did you have the shifter off the bike, and it still took that time?

Is it possible I exaggerated for dramatic effect...? Time includes multiple attempts to not fully remove the shifter and figure out what is going on... once I decided to remove the shifter and actually unscrew open the shifter mechanism the broken cable was just there hanging out...

I'm about to replace the Conti' GP 4000 tires on my race wheels with the newer 5000.
Is there any difference, in terms of rolling resistance, weight, durability, between the different sidewalls?

I thought I read that the cream sidewalls might be heavier, but I haven't been able to confirm anything other than the advertised weight of the cream is 30g heavier than the advertised weight of the "natural" or "transparent" in the 25mm version.
