Way to hang tough! All these technical skillz-practice is going to ensure you have a kick-ass cross season!

All this talk of rock gardens is bringing me back to some of my frustrating moments from MTB "racing" last season. Message to promoters: Some triple tracky fire-roads in your course are okay. Because, you know this is mass-start MTB racing not BMX trials or somesuch.

@Gwynna Congratulations!!! The Kissena #bellelap is proving for be more of a #beast with every race report that comes in this season. Now that you have a taste for standing on upturned milk crates, I'll assume that standing on level ground after finishes just wont suffice for you. And since @Marc didn't mention it, get yourself and those ribs a nice fluffy pillow to clutch at night to help with the pain (I'm actually surprised he didn't Marc didn't mention that... I'm pretty sure he's getting kickbacks from a pillow company for all the business the KCC ladies are drumming up lately. No more crashes!) Oh, and where's the video?!

@Gwynna Smith - Though there are some technical bits at Waywayanda I think it's significantly more fun to ride and race than Blue Mountain--so there!  At Waywayanda much of the difficulty depends on the way they route the course and how wet it is.  There are sometimes a few low lying marshy sections.

anybody going to do the H2H race #3 this sunday? I'm registered already and might go on Saturday to ride the park if anybody wants to join.

@Nelson I'll be there too. I'm not really expecting to take home any medals or podium or anything since I'm such a newbie and have missed nearly every race clinic y'all have offered (also my Saturday ride looks to be a long hilly one so I'll be good and tired for Rumble in the Jungle on Sunday), but I'll for sure be there ready to ride all those rocks I've been hearing about. 

@jJssica-  I have only ridden there twice and never raced there.  Jungle Habitat is located about 20 minutes from Ringwood (where we rode together in the fall).  So it is similarly rocky and perhaps a bit narrower. It is important there to remember to look where you want to be headed and not fixate on the particular rocks under your wheel. Good luck to you and all of the others!

NARROWER THAN RINGWOOD?!?

@Jessica-The singletrack is all roughly the same width as the singletrack at Ringwood. At Ringwood though there were a lot of double track jeep or carriage roads that we used as connectors to the singletrack sections. I expect that there'll be less of that double track stuff on the race course at Jungle Habitat. 

Scratch that I'll be busy Saturday and won't be able to make it out.

Congratulations ladies.  I heard from Eric Robertson who raced the 2's there this morning that it was a very tough course. 

Rejoice, yhe less technical ones (other than Mt. Creek) are coming.
