^Is that Adam Hansen's shoe company?
First,

@Mark Taylor

Yes, that's the price.  If people are crazy enough to buy $10k frames, they're crazy enough to buy those Mavic shoes.  Then again, I think Bardet wears them.

@Jules

No.  Hanseeno is the shoe brand.  They're 2,000 euros and always out of stock.

always.

I think putting up the website and making them nominally for sale is Hansen's concession to the UCI.
@jp, of course i know its not a mistake ,
and Dan martin wears them

This is excellent and honest post about racing, depression and injuries.

I met Lemond once at Battenkill. Hands down the nicest celebrity ever, by a mile. He talked with Sophie who was maybe 5 then, for what seemed like ever. Such a genuinely kind man.

I like this interview because it sounds like a real person talking, not a coached pro. The sentiments around Fignon make me wince with sympathy.

Growing up in the 90s, when I saw scant images of bike racing—nevermind actual broadcasts—the few that seared themselves into my mind were, luckily, of Greg LeMond.

Aerobars at a gravel race? What is the store having a special on Jerks?

Is VN trying to anoint the next Red Hook Crit?

somebody agrees with you...I would say on those lonely windswept Kansas roads, aerobars are not a bad idea. Especially 10 hours into a never ending headwind.
Meh. If they’re using them in a pack on gravel I object.
frankly I’d like to see some clown crush the pros on a recombent so the at least try and have some sensibLe rules.
There's been lots of chatter about this -- Ted King had aero bars, and won. He's been fairly vocal that he rather they are not allowed. But frankly, whatevs.

C.O.R.B.S!
The other thing that adds to the chaos slash lack of safety is totally mixed fields. Imagine thirty cat 5's in with a group start; if the terrain doesn't force a selection early it's going to be ugly.
while I sure do it often too, we don't have to discuss hypotheticals. The DK 200 has already happened for a few years in a row, with 2000 mass starters, aero bars, and no reported issues.

BBC picks up Molly Weaver's story:

Ryan Steers is sponsored by Giant and so are you.

He describes his Dirty Kanza 200 ride. On a new huge clearance giant prototype bicycle.

It’s about working together as riders and as a community to remind each other why we started riding bikes together in the first place, and why we continue to love this amazing sport.

I'd like to know more about that bike. Right now I'm eyeing up the ADD because you can run MTN bike wheels on it if you want. What I really long for is a carbon version though. I think all these dedicated "gravel" bikes are too damn heavy.
check if the current FTB can do that -- not sure it can, but generally if you can fit 40ish 700c tires, you can do MTB wheels.

Otherwise, zero info on the giant proto yet. I'm too interested, as I presume it has a much lower bottom bracket than the CX Giants.

Interesting with Horner...so I’m to understand that he hasn’t been subject to any out of competition testing for the past year yet he can just parachute in and ride the national championships?
what if he hasn’t just been riding just that dirt bike for the last 6 months..,what if he’s also been riding a case cortecoid steroids and epo ???
Really odd
Im unclear as to the rules
Definitely open for debate
Especially in the current time.
Ridiculously enough

For fy$$s sake
Obviously he needs ro be tested
Unfortunately podium unlikely
Realistic, pethaps
Totally depends on who else shows
Especially as he is not on a team
Especially as he hasnt been racing.
Never trust anyone with translucent skin

HiwHowe remain hopeful for a do over

you mean that having a bronchial infection for over a year isn't suspicious enough?
