Sadly, that doesn't sound like GCN+ will be coming back.
worse:
Around 20 layoffs expected at GCN as founder buys back company - Escape Collective

GCN addresses the changes in a portion of this video:

Not a fan of the kit

crowded colors that blend together seems to be a thing for their TdF kits.
of course it has to be some variant of blue...
Honestly I'm just impressed how quickly we all adapt to the new kits/team names year in and year out.

They did that abstract 'fields of wheat' motif that was just a muddled brown.  The muddled blue is fresh in comparison.
the Cervelo in blue in blue looks great
EF continue to rule. Nat champ kits!!!

Also, Healy's 443W/10min Slovenia stage win :cookie: Piccolo :poop:

I do like the jumbo blue kit and EF is class as usual. The alpecin grey denim on the other hand…. 🤮
Throwing a team rider off the bus and then individual riders backing over him.

“When Piccolo came to the team, I befriended him because he was Italian like me and tried to help him. Now I see him as a dickhead.”--Alberto Bettiol on Andrea Piccolo

Pretty rich for JV and CW to be all pissy about it. Tell me again how upset they are at other people doping. Where is my tiny violin?
Strava family plan seems like a good deal. Limits to 4 people per "family" which they call out as anyone within the same country so can be training partners.

The UCI, where they never pass up a chance to (checks list) step on a rake.

Not sure if anyone here is familiar , but a stalwart of the British cycling scene Mercian closed doors earlier this year , I would window shop here as a kid , good news !

"too tired" or a big middle finger to the Olympic selection committee?

You're not considering that the drug testing might be more strict?

I've been thinking a lot about that actually, but I'm not convinced.

Tadej Pogacar says decision not to select girlfriend Urska Zigart helped sway Olympic no-show — Guardian US

Zigart is her nation’s highest-ranked rider and Pogacar has long been a highly visible presence in support of her career in the women’s peloton. “She’s the only woman cyclist in Slovenia that ever achieved top 10 in week-long World Tour races,” he told the Dutch broadcaster NOS. “She did great in the last two years winning points for Slovenia and, without her, they wouldn’t have two spots in the [Olympic] road race.

Penko has selected Urksa Pintar, who finished second at this year’s Slovenian national championship, 11 minutes behind Zigart. “It is what it is, and now we can go on vacation together,” Pogacar said of the pair’s Olympic absence.

Sounds like the middle finger to me!
Haley Batten was so amazing in this , coming back from an early flat , but I did say myself “ can you go into tech lane , with taking a bottle etc”
I know you can’t in CX , would have been. Insanely cruel to DQ her

Puck Pieterse protests but USA’s Haley Batten keeps Olympic mountain bike silver medal

BTW, If I have to guess, I would imagine that Puck did not initiate the protest, but the Dutch cycling federation. Regardless of who did, with the stakes being an Olympic medal, it only makes sense that they would protest.

I feel for Puck, as it was her flat that likely cost her a medal, and of course Lecomte's crash, that possibly also cost her a medal. It amazing to see how deep all these athletes went.
Agreed , Lecomte looked on the limit before the crash , shows how focused you needed to be on those rocks
the warm embraces from all the top finishes were cool
 Rissveds consoling Puck especially touching

Now here is a story I am interested in. I love the audaciousness of it all - but I’m eager to hear what the experts say about a 100+ VO2Max

❄️ Cyclocross will 99.99% be an event at the 2030 Winter Olympics, reports Sporza, although Het Laatste Nieuws say it is not that certain but that talks are ongoing between the UCI and IOC.
