Everyone should be annoyed with stealth advertorial.  But it's not like this is new for  Peloton.  I wouldn't be surprised if advertorial is how they really pay their bills.

We call it NATIVE ADVERTISING in digital. Advertorial is a print idea, just like Infomercial is the term from TV.

BikeRadar's Ben Delaney had a shimano hydraulic brake failure in the first half of a 150-mile ride.  the rear brake cracked and bled its fluid.  On the other hand, he finished the ride with the front brake only.

We've seen bike marketers trying "sexy", and mostly it just seems creepy. I would rather see high quality engineering and products than "sexy" branding.

I hope this gets resolved before the race, but I also kinda hope she races with the women and wins the title.

JP-some fair reflection.  I think that with discs there is this overwhelming feeling for those who ride semi frequently (not even often) that there just seems to be little reason for them.

I could write a passage detailing several other factors but I feel the argument has been by and large made: discs are coming because they are coming, not because they are needed.  I guess the question is, is that normal for bike tech, but we are just faffing over this particular technology (electric gears, case in point...)?

Shouldn't it be more 'fuck you usac'?  After all, almost a decade ago some regional associations wanted to drug test, had the money to do so, and and USAC told them not to.  If testing had started sooner, we might have changed the culture before it became news.  I know of two state associations that wanted to test, and I bet they weren't the only ones.  

Still, disappointing article.  Fred Dreier should have done better.   He's a former VeloNews staffer.  He, or his editor (hope it wasn't Jason Gay, who himself raced for some years), makes it seem like figuring out what's on the prohibited list is hard, when actually, it's easy--just go to DRO type in the drug name, and you have your answer.  As for the guy who got popped for testosterone after being denied a TUE, he has no excuse, which should have been pointed out.
