Dude this is HUGE. This is a USAC suspension nearly equivalent to
punching an official. USAC suspensions are really really hard to get.

But I've another plan. See, civil law Trump's USAC law.

Once Charlie signs off on it, I'm having the park association add to their
by laws "any rider disqualified from a USAC event will be banned from the
park for six months". But i need his endorsement prior to the call.

While I'm certain they will never ID riders entering the park for a club
ride, sure as shit we ID at registration. If you get banned and show its
criminal trespassing and we call 5-0 to escort you away.

It's always POSSIBLE that they'll find a banned rider in a red light stop
or something but unlikely.

I'm trying to shake the bad apples out of the tree not knock it down.

Go pros count as evidence.

May be huge, but still not enough, or at least didn't answer my question. Which is fine. I appreciate it and we don't really need to agree. Cheers.
I may have to get myself a GoPro just for catching jogging lane trespassers.

I wonder why CRCA didn't get in on that for their joggers lane stuff at their races in the Park. oh, wait, right they don't really run open races in the park so they don't give an airborne copulation about USAC rules.
A years suspension is nearly impossible from USAC. Small steps

This is an article soon to be in print. "Special Regulation - Joggers Lane: Due to permit requirements in Prospect Park, the line separating the jogger’s lane from the portion of roadway will be treated as if it were an enforcement line under the following regulation: 3B1Center Line If a course is not closed to traffic, all competitors must keep to the right of the center line or enforcement line. Violations are subject to 8B1(a) Warning for accidental riding on or crossing; relegation, DSQ or a 30 days suspension for advancing position or a dangerous attack. " Coming soon to a NYC park near you courtesy of my good friends on Colorado. Someone who knows how the forum works can post this under racing, fucked if I know how to.
Hey Myles, can you clarify which line we are talking about? There are large portions of the park where there is a double line separating the road from the joggers lane with diagonal striping in between. Will the refs be enforcing the line closest to the road or closest to the joggers?
This is a real shame. Also illegal from a data-ownership point of view.

Hmmmmmm.

My personal thought is simple.

Don't run over any lines and you'll be just fine.

We've had people ask "is it touching the line like tennis or do you have to be all the way over the line".

Answer-dont be daft.   Stay off the line.   Is three freaking inches wide ride somewhere else.

My understanding is there is a bike lane beside the jogger Lane all the way around the park. (?)

In the ideal world ID suggest staying out of it.  While it would be a source of endless amusement to see people dq'd for riding in the bike lane, it's certainly not something I want to do, and the on-the-road call is 100% the Moto ref.

Do you want to risk a 30day suspension for riding over a line at 35 while under observation of a guy on a moped chasing 110 people at 35?

Doesn't seem prudent.

Gopro analysis can be more absolute.

Here's the thing.  We're after douchebags that are utilizing the lane to advance their position

If you cross a line and aren't sure wtf is going on pull the rip cord, drift to the back, and tell the Moto ref you're sorry wait five secs and go.

See you guys tomorrow

The data guy's takeaway. the shitty part of this is that they're not letting her access her performance and training data.

Lucky for her EU law is pretty cut & dried on this. It's her data.

The really nasty part is seeing just how ugly the sausage is in getting to and winning Olympic games.

The sausage party that is British Cycling and how the sausage gets made to make it to the Olympics.

The whole deal w/ Varnish is so stupid shady.

Show one was a bore, not sure I finished the whole thing.

Show two with Bill Laudien was definitely funny, insightful, long but super interesting. Also, obvious, Laudien gets tipsy during the show.

Show one was so boring I turned it off.
Nicole Cooke chimes in on the Varnish vs. British Cycling issues.

Nicole Cooke: welcome to the world of elite cycling where sexism is by design

there is a response by UK Cycling at the bottom, proving, just as Cooke states: "They just do not see it"

The afghan women's cycling team, the same that has been nominated for a 2016 Nobel peace prize, and star of the afghan cycles movie, is no more.

Corruption in Afghanistan All but Cripples Women’s Team Sports

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/27/world/asia/afghanistan-women-sports.html

Ms. Galpin announced on her web page last month that she would no longer support the Afghan Cycling Federation because of what she described as “out of control” corruption by the team’s longtime coach and the head of the federation, Haji Abdul Sediq Seddiqi.
