Also - not being too familiar with riding on the track - does rain cancel? Still early in the week, but forecast is iffy....

SInce this thread has gotten long with logistics and last year's stuff is mixed up in it, can we just reiterate the date and time?

I think its Saturday 3-3 at 10 at the velodrome - is that correct?

I asked 10 or 10:30. Josh suggested 10:30 so the Branchbrook racers could make it. I was going to go with that to maximize turnout.

@WDC - I assume your taking the Queensboro bridge over ? If so I'll wait for you & your peeps at 9:10am at the Queens side (Crescent St & Bridge Plaza N on the bike path right after the bridge finishes) .

59th Street between 2nd ave and 1st ave was reconfigured and you can't ride through. I normally take 58th Street east now (hug the right side to bypass the car ramp to the bridge) and then 1st ave up to 1st and 60th to the bike lane bridge opening.

And re: Queensboro Bridge - I always prefer to take 62nd across and then slide in at 2nd Ave down. But thass because I'm crrrraazzzzzyyy

Well folks, looks like it's going to be rained out. I think the roads probably need to be dry by 9am in order for the track to be dry at 10am. There's an 80% chance at this moment that it will still be raining at 9am.

All the same, I'm going to wake up and take a look out my window.

Assuming it's rained out, what about...when? Possibly 10am on Sunday March 11th? (daylight savings takes effect this day)

@JP - let us know your final thoughts. 3/3/12, 7:19am, the sky overhead looks very grey, however it is not raining and looks fairly clear at ground level.

Weather.com however predicts fog, 10% chance of rain till 9:15, and then it spikes to a 75% chance of rain from 10am to 11am. booooo to Weather.com

I got up,looked outside, saw the rain and wet roads and said "baaah, it's off" and didn't check e.mail until now.

It's raining. There's no way the track is safe enough to ride.
