Thanks for the input @eloy and @RichFreeman . Very helpful!

Hey Guys!

Ben ask me who is having an issue with their long bibs being loosed around the knees, he wants to resolve this all at once if possible.

I know @Mark Taylor had an issue, and so do I.
@RichFreeman I know you have one, do you need it fixed?

Anyone else?

PS @ColinStief
Grand fondo is thicker, veloce is thinner more for short races 2hrs or less. Both works fine with me. I do like the apex bibs better because i like more compressions in the legs.

Also not into the tech stuff IMO, performance or me personally like apex are way better.

Kevin,
Mine are a bit loose around the knees.  Not dramatically like Mark's.

I think the fit for me on the performance bib tights is not what I like, but I don't think it's terrible. I plan on wearing them on Saturday and I can take a mental note of the fit. I do prefer form fitting.
If you do have a problem do contact Ben. Theyre really good with their customer service.

Im gonna sent mine for a return soon.

@AndrewJohnson I like mine really tight pro fitting too.

Don't forget that the Kit order close Sunday
Ben tells me that the last kit order should ship next week
The February Kissena Kit Order is arriving a RedBeard this Thursday. You can have the order shipped to you or pick it up yourself. Here are instructions from Kasia:

If members feel comfortable rolling past the shop they can do a minimum contact pick-up. Otherwise I can ship USPS, figure $10 or so.

For pick-up:

We are here these days Tues-Fri 12-6 and Sat 12-5. The shop is closed to browsing. We ask folks to ring our bell or tap on the window when they arrive, then stand back to give us at least 6 feet. One of us will pop out with their kit! Please bring a bag!

If members want any other gear for spring, this is a chance to kill 2 birds with one stone! Folks should email us in advance, so we can prep everything / order it in, if needed.

The Kissena Kit store is Open! Look sharp in new threads on your socially distant outdoor rides and indoor trainer. All orders submitted before may 1st include a 15% discount. This is your opportunity to get kitted up for the summer.

The
Champion System team store is now open through the evening of  Monday May 4th. Expect delivery within five weeks.

Helpful notes:
  • Choosing the correct proof for the item you want is not always easy in the Champion System store. Check out my forum post on how to avoid expensive mistakes
  • Size chart points to a very form fit. See the size guide. If there is any question CS recommends sizing up. Tall members may want to try the club fit jerseys as they have extra length
  • Check the descriptions in the product catalog
  • Please order from a desktop or laptop computer. These are custom orders with many important details that are better viewed on a large screen.
  • Members have the option of having kit delivered directly for an extra $30 or picking it up at RedBeard for free
  • White and Blue kits are ordered separately through the links below. When IRL racing resumes, please wear our regular awesome kit but feel free to wear the blue kit when training or racing virtually.

ChampSys update:

Shoe covers, gloves, hats and bags are not available from the Team Kit store. Ben says that “anything that goes on head/hands/feet, arm/leg/knee warmers as well as bags are unavailable”. I am guessing this has to do with mask production. These proofs have been removed from the store. Neck gaiters (aka seamlless warmers) ARE still available (and what I am using as a mask when out riding).

If you have one of the above items on back order, you might still get it, but Ben suggested you let him know and he will credit you for that item.
Has anyone previously ordered the Apex summer race skinsuit? If so, thoughts?

I ordered one last year to race track with it. I got a Medium. Generally I like it. It has two deep back pockets that don't get much in the way, and are nicely tucked in. It doesn't have what I call the marsupial pouch opening on the front like the cross skin suits. Once zipped up it's all sealed up in the front. It also have almost no collar. I do have one issue. But that's more me. I think I'm more an M+ sizing for this, or was last year, I have dropped some weight lately. So when I put it on it stretches a bit around my upper shoulders lower neck area to the point that I've popped some stitches out. It does take a bit of dexterity to get in and out of it.

Here is a photo of me wearing it at the track last year. (No, I don't have a huge belly, bent over the bike makes it look worse... lol. :# )

Great, thanks @AndrewJohnson
@JonathanAdler Also thee skin suit is a bit more mesh like, probably for better ventilation.

BUMP

Kit order closes later today. This is your opportunity to pick up some new threads in anticipation of the nicer riding weather. See instructions in the link above or in the email sent out a few minutes ago.
Is it me or are there no short sleeve blue jerseys available? I click on the thumbnail of a short sleeved jersey in the blue kit site but it says "long sleeve".

there are no short sleeve blue jerseys. we made it so blue is for "training/winter", it helps make sure we race in the white jerseys (altho, sure looks like we wont race much in 2020)

Fingers crossed for a late fall CX season, but it's anyone's guess at this point  :'(
Any news on the kask medium helmets
I spoke with h Kasia over the weekend. There were delays getting them out of Italy. I think she said they're on their way?

Sorry I'm late on this.

I have one.  It's mostly awesome.  Incredibly breathable, super comfortable, great for racing at 70f and above, maybe even down to 65f.  You can cross in it down to about 60f.

The "mostly" is because I have a hard time figuring out where to pin both numbers with the 'back and side' number scheme when pinning it up myself.  And my version, which I don't think is what is currently available, the back is mesh, so you might have to consider sunscreen depending on the time of day you're using it and your skin's sensitivity to the sun.  I did an 80 mile road race in it once--should have applied sunscreen first.
Is there any update on the Champ Sys masks?
Yes, the masks have arrived! They are good quality too. Currently the board is figuring out how best to distribute them.

any word on the masks? sorry to pester, but I may want to order some for my family and wanted to check it out first. I can pick it up at Redbeard or anywhere in NYC.
Going to put up a post tonight re: collection from a suitable meeting point in BK.
Mask Collection details:

As you may be aware, the club purchased a number of masks from Champ Sys. These have been modeled by @PatrickGrehan on Insta.

Reading the tea leaves of the weather forecast - this Tuesday night is looking good, @2000 - 2030.

I'll be at the grassy triangle (inside the park, normal Look Sharp meet up point, tooled up with my own mask and gloves).

If you have paid your membership then you are entitled to collect a mask. If this time/date doesn't work for you, shoot me a message on Slack and we can work something out.

Cheers,

Rich

Is this a Brooklyn thing?
Yes, but can also make it over to Manhattan later in the week if that works for ppl.

Thanks, Rich. I'll see you tomorrow.
Is there a solution for mask pickup for those of us who are currently out of the city?
