in that case, anyone have a pair of overshoes they feel particularly positive about?
Have the CS fleeced shoe covers from like...6 or 7 years ago now. Assuming they haven't changed the design, they work fine in the winter and fit nicely over my Sidis. My feet are naturally hot and sweaty so YMMV.

I have an ancient pair of Giordana branded neoprene "Toesties" that cover just the, you guessed it, toes of my shoes. Technically they go just past the cleats so halfway up your foot.  I prefer these to full shoe covers paired with warm wool socks up to freezing temps.

I have been using a pair of Giro neoprene booties for the last 4 years and they have been stellar.

I bought a pair of Gore WindStopper overshoes from Redbeard.  They have different weights.  These are the heavier ones.

I think I have these, but I'm not sure

the booties are windproof and seem to breathe a bit.  I was concerned that the soles wouldn't be durable.  They seem durable enough--I think this will be my second winter with them  I expect them to last at least another winter, and I'm outside for most of my riding.  They stretch a bit, which I think is a good thing.  The offset zipper makes them easy to put on and take off.  The reflective piping is a bit more minimal than I'd prefer.  I'm not that pleased with the aesthetics as I prefer booties that look like they have an aero fit and these, thanks to overlapping seams at the toe, looks almost loose, though they don't move around.

They're pretty good for me.  I find my feet overheat in neoprene, so I save neoprene for rainy days.  I also seem to have fairly decent circulation, so I pretty much can use these booties down to 15f or so.  Typically, I eschew booties unless it's 42f or lower or it's wet out.

Don't know what it says about them, but it looked like I was getting salt stains coming through the stitching and the zipper by the end of the winter.

These seem warmer than the booties they replaced, which were Castelli's WindStopper booties.

I do have two pair of Kissena fleece booties.  Don't remember the years or iterations.  One is pretty thin and is a minimal wind break.  The other much warmer.  The warmer pair seems to be fleece plus spandex.  Maybe these work into the high 30s, but only on higher-effort days, not endurance or recovery rides.

+1 for toesie type warmers. I have a pair of Pearl Izumi toe covers that are like 4 years old and work really well for all but the most freezing days.
I have some toesie also , which work great , the trouble is every time I look down I think “Spatz”

I believe mark is referencing their standard tight.  Which definitely had bizarre fit issues.

Don't know about their fancier tights.  I think Patrick and perhaps Erik have them.
Fancy tights and knickers are what i was referencing, both were returned , Champs sent me Roubaix shorts and leg warmers
I believe Patrick returned his also
Yeah my knicks fit a little weird around the knee. I wish I had returned them before using them. fwiw i think they look less odd on the bike.
My winter tights fit perfect..I must have fucked up knees
.
A quick reminder that the team kit store closes this Tuesday. Get your orders in if you need cold weather gear for the winter weather!
Need some new threads?

The board has received and will soon distribute the Special Edition "Donut" jerseys and new member jerseys. In the meantime, the Champion System team store is open through the evening of Saturday February 27th. Expect delivery in around four weeks.

There are a few items we that have not been offered in a while: White
base layers and white socks. These are a classic KCC 50th anniversary sock design. The base sock requires members to order a minimum of three socks. The Aero sock has no minimum. Also note that Trail shorts are still not available - apparently that fabric is no longer available due to the coronavirus. Who knew?

Here are my dirty socks from several years ago.

There are separate WHITE and BLUE kit stores. Accessories and bibs/tights are available in either store. Blue tops are only available in the Blue store. White tops and skin suits are in the White store.

Helpful notes:
  • ImportantSelect the proofs that matches the item you are looking for. For example, there are 3 white jersey proofs, one for the Elite jersey, one for the Aero, Performance and Tech jerseys, plus one for the Mini Jersey (a toy!). Pick the proof for the kit item you want to order. If the picture (aka proof) does not match the item you want, go back and find the correct proof. Ask on the forum for help.  Check out my forum post on how to avoid expensive mistakes
  • Check the size guide but be aware that it assumes a form fitting fit. If there is any question CS recommends sizing up. Tall members may want to try the club fit jerseys as they have extra length
  • Check the descriptions in the product catalog
  • Please order from a desktop or laptop computer. These are custom orders with many important details that are better viewed on a large screen.
  • Members have the option of having kit delivered directly for an extra $30 or picking it up at RedBeard for free
  • White and Blue kits are ordered separately through the links below. When IRL racing resumes, please wear our regular awesome kit but feel free to wear the blue kit when training or racing virtually.

Just have to get some Briko glasses like in the back and 1998 here I come!

The blue store link in the original email was broken. Use the link in the post above or the follow up email that was sent a little later in the day
Those Brikos are everything
Kit order - please note

The tights and knickers are not form fitting around the knees. In other words they are a little baggy. This has been an issue for some members while others seem fine with it. Champ Sys will have a redesign for next winter. If you need something for the cooler weather now that matches the kit, I would recommend getting fleece bibs and fleece lined leg (or knee) warmers. This is a versatile and warm alternative to tights/knickers.

The socks are currently only available in the knit version (3 piece minimum). We will have a new design for sublimated and aero sicks in a future order.

Don't hesitate to post questions on the Team Kit order or Kit Connoisseur forum threads
I find this sort of pathetic , they used to supply world tour teams , should my mum send them a pattern?
They supply Tour de France Champs UAE!

Guess those guys have baggy knees...

or more likely it’s low on the priority list compared to getting Pog his aero socks
UAE dropped them

BUMP. Team Kit order closes Saturday. Get your orders in for the Spring

Come get your sweet confectionary themed Kissena jersey

Members who renewed by January 15th ordered a limited edition, totally one off and never to be available ever again, donut themed Kissena jersey. If that sounds like you, come to Prospect park on Saturday, March 6th between 10-12 and enjoy a jersey and some real donuts as well! Maybe see some of your teammates for the first time in months with unusual facial hair emanating from under their masks!

While we still need to be conscious about Coronavirus we’d love to see each other and hang out a little eating donuts and riding a few laps (with masks and social distancing of course).

We will meet at the Grand Army Plaza entrance to the park. If it rains we will reschedule for Sunday the 7th. Can’t get to Brooklyn that weekend? Arrange to have someone pick yours up or we’ll make other arrangements to get your jersey to you.

Don’t recall if  you ordered a special edition jersey? Here is the list of names: Jonathan Adler, Eloy Anzola, Thierry Bonnaire, Matt Budofsky, Jeff Condon, Rick Cornetta, Michael Cumming, Ian Ellis, Jim Feehan, Thomas Feehan, Remy Forgues, Richard Freeman, Noah Greenhill, Patrick Grehan, David Hocker, Andrew Johnson, Kevin Man, Joseph Matunis, Derek Mead, Christopher Meehan, Robert Mullen, shane murphy, James Nelson, John Olsson, Rich Orrick, JP Partland, Erik Pfiffner, Nathaniel Picard-Busky, Richard Polk, John Powell, James Reeder, Dan Reiners, Diego Sanchez, Chaim  Seewald, Brian Stan, Colin Stief, Dale Suttle, Mark Taylor, Mark Usewicz, Bruce L L van-Schalkwyk, David Yang, Tommy York

If someone can drop my donut jersey in the mail, I'll happily pay postage and a little extra for the hassle.
Patrick,

I believe that’s me, lol. Although the past 2-3 months have been a blur, I believe I renewed early on… If so, I might come out to ride, question can one bring a significant other not on Kissena?

Andrew
@JohnPowell I hope you have your water back. Will send your jersey to Texas.

@AndrewJohnson Bring your GF. We are unlikely to ride as one big group. Probably will break up into small socially distant groups based on when people show up
