Whose riding in half moon bay California today?
That was me...and my man tits
Just got in from a ride...the wind was brutish today.  Sometimes deep carbon rims = not so good.

Sorry lads, not going to make this am after all. Have a great ride!

Nice group ride today, 11 KCC kits reflecting the bright sunshine that pretty quickly turned a chilly morning into a warm journey north into Jersey and New York State via the usual roads. The group split at Piermont, with Sean, JP, Patrick, Thierry and myself taking on the Rockland Lake extension. Had some fun on the hills, with full-on race-pace flogging each other up Rockland Lake and State Line. kept it reasonable in between and worked on a tempo paceline on 9W home.

Great to see so many out for the group ride. Lets try and keep it up while racing is still mostly a 1 day a weekend happening.

For those who are sticking to the Peaks Training plan, I found out that today's scheduled ride was 4 hours endurance. I would have gladly done such a ride with you. I want to help make sure that you can both stick to your training plans but also join in on group ride fun if possible. As it was, my ride total, was around 3 hours and 10 minutes, 52 miles, from door to door.
It was a nice ride today, although I cramped up as always and took a long hard ride home. Here are some pictures from todays group ride

Great photos!  Sorry I had to bail early, had to head back to my parents in NJ to give my  6 year old niece her Easter basket! There was some good stuff in there…and not ALL  candy might I add!  Hope you guys got back safely and also caught the rest of Flanders.  See y'all soon!
Great photos Renat!
Get yourself some Osmo and say goodbye to those cramps.
rear gopro ftw
Hi all, I'm visiting New York for a few days this week. Are you doing the regular ride on Sunday (9 am @ gwb)? Would love to join. Cheers Floris

It's on Floris - and you're always welcome!
Any group ride action planned for saturday ?
Planning on being at BB tomorrow at 8:00 am. Who else is riding?

I'll be at the GWB at 9. Andy Da Silva too. We both want to go long...so might start out with the traditional KCC ride, then head up to the Apple Orchard or somesuch.
I dont think I will make it, but please look out for Matt Moocarm on Organic Athlete who is looking to join.
anyone want to meet at GWB at 2 or 3?

Brendan, we miss you buddy. Come riding with us!

Big group of KCC and prospective KCC riders at 9am GWB meetup. I counted 12 on the low road to Piermont, Phillip led another 3 or 5 up 9W for the new member ride.

Niall, Andy DS (ex-KCC) peeled off at Piermont and motored to the Apple Orchard before heading home again. Nice, true endurance ride with lots of conversation. A few pushes up a few climbs, just enough to remind us what VO2 feels like, but nothing insane.

Good times, fantastic weather.

Next Sunday is a L&C race, so maybe we could rustle together a group endurance ride for Saturday at or around "the usual time."

P.S. I think more of you should go on group rides with me because you will get indispensable and actual "pro tips" shared on the ride today like:
  • Don't weigh yourself the morning of a big race. Just don't. No good will come of that.

  • How to squeeze Apple Orchard cider donuts just so, to determine freshness/worthiness of buying. #nodonutsformetoday #bittersweet
P.P.S. Random Notes from part 1 of the group ride:
  • John Malcolmson may have a 1 week old baby to take care of at home, but he will still smoke all of your asses in the low-road sprint into New York state.

  • Patrick Grehan is on my cycling fantasy pit crew team for his fast flat tire changes.

  • Dude leaning out of pick-up truck, screaming profanity-laced instructions to ride single file made me and our group laugh. #goodweather #goodvibes
Nice to to take a break from the feeding cycle, see the gang and meet all the new faces out there today. What a ballistic Amstel Gold finish that was!

Next week we should add in Bradley Tweed.

@Marc/JP we should definitely try cue up a crit/skills workshop as soon as. I know a bunch of people are interested.

@Phillip Matt from Organic would a great add to the team, nice guy and a talented rider.
Big bunch
