Kissena Cycling Club …..aka the Brooklyn Half Wheelers
Great list John. It might take two or three days to get to all of that, but if folks can commit to say 2 hours of drilling/practicing as opposed to what I've tried to get done in the past in just 1 hour, then we might have a fighting chance.JohnMalcolmson said:That'd be awesome Marc. Rockleigh is the go with the semi-closed course.
I love your existing punch list, here's what I think would be helpful to
- cornering lines, pedaling through corners, body position
- braking techniques/theory (feathering brakes etc)
- eyes up the road/mental focus/positioning
- how to ride a wheel
- being verbal/letting other riders know your position "inside", "outside".
- how and when to move up
- fast clip-in
- sprint technique
- how to check if someone is on your wheel
- bunny-hopping drills
- attack and catch drills
- holding your wheel/protecting your front wheel
- lead-out
- gobbing etiquette
I'll be at the GWB at 9am. I'll look for you...we can start out together at least. Most of the active members are racing tomorrow though. Either L&C or Orchard Beach.Dale Suttle said:I'm going to show up at the Bridge at 8. Hope others will join.
