Ingrid, we are heading to rockleigh course via the low road. Maybe head there.
I had the same issue earlier this spring and was lost without my Garmin. I ended up downloading an app and was able pair the Stages with it via Bluetooth. I used the Wahoo app and it was pretty good. I couldn't look at it but I was at least able to record rides. Might be worth trying out, especially since the app is free.Marc Bertucco said:
Can't wait to hear how the clinic went!
Patrick and I hit the wide open yonder. Fun climbing. No mechanicals, a couple of refuel stops and by the time I got home over 3000kj.
My head unit is in transit from a warranty issue, as such I don't have specific data for you, but based on a past ride, this ride was at least 90 miles.
Related, these last few weeks racing and riding without a head unit, I feel like my Stages is keeping secrets, it knows things about me, that I will never know. Would be cool if a firmware upgrade added the ability for the unit itself to "store" a certain amount of data, to upload/download later.

(for those who don't know where he made mention of this, we could see Harriman State Park in the background. He said his phone had a charge, he had money, he could make his way home. Since it was warm and sunny, and we had exited the trickiest parts of this wormhole, we figured it was ok to leave him. Probably should have given him some sunscreen though)Brendan Rigby said:marc graciously omitted the part where I told him and JP to go on without me because my fitness was too poor to keep up. what a gentleman!
good to see everyone. hopefully i'll be at these more often.
Edit. I realized that my previous response was probably inviting what I did not want. Oh irony.Jeffrey White said:(As an aside, while such a thing would be impossible in the 4s or the 5s, I don't understand why you 1-2-3's don't have a John Henry/Seal Team 6 leadout procedure for all the park races and what not.)
