I'm always out earlier because of family stuff too!
Feel free to post here if you're going out at an earlier time. There's plenty of people who have family commitments that force an earlier start.
John I seen you guys went out early around central park last week. You plan on heading out again tomorrow? If so I'll meet you guys.
#familyman ride anyone?
(BB at 6:30)
@Jules   I plan to introduce the 5AM "Fishmongers Ride" later this summer.
I'd be up for that Jules, 7:30 GWB?
5am ride sounds awesome too M.
Guys - I'm planning on leading a ride with Redbeard this Sunday, around 9am GWB to Piermont (8am at Redbeard). Please come out and join us and show support to one of our most important sponsors.

The weather does not seem to be cooperating.
thinking about hitting the GWB at 9 on saturday, family plans permitting.  Probably mostly easyish to Nyack and back, with a few hard efforts thrown in.
Rain on Sunday so the ride with Redbeard has been moved to July 5th.
Myself, Bryan Miele, WrongWay met up at 9am and rolled out for a spin.  Took a few detours along the way, like the serpentine drop from Tenafly rather than Clinton Ave.

Brian's wheel was pretty creaky, so he and John went to Piermont as I rolled over Clausland.  We rolled out of Piermont into drizzle.  Once on 9W, we picked up the pace, with a nice pace line.

then Ashley Brenes was on our wheel.  He chatted with John for a few moments and said "see ya." I thought that meant he was sitting up. It meant he was hammering past us.  He set a wicked pace between Closter and Tenafly with us on his wheel, then we took a few more turns until the gas station sprint, where he kept going.  We hunted him down at Palisades ave.  I was looking to test my legs against Malcolmson on hudson terrace, but the road was closed at the hill!  bummer.

But we didn't let up until 110th street, or at least that's when I let up to head to Harlem.

nice pace.
Not quite a "group" ride but Dale took me for a spin today - not sure what his swift new ISM Propel is named but my Creamsicle was a joy to ride.

Sadly my legs are a couple of months away from race ready.
Jules, glad to see you back on the bike!

Thanks to JP for the Piermont remix ride yesterday, throwing in some little kickers at the start made it far more enjoyable. JP, Bryan and then Ashley did some serious dieseling on the way back. I took the gas station sprint and Ashley just kept going like it was no big deal we'd laid down 30 secs of 800w.
Where/what is the gas station sprint?

Also, was everyone Father's day-ing today?
@Marc On the way back to GWB — The Exxon Station Sign on 9W about a mile or so before the turnoff to Hudson Terrace.
I rode a loop to Mineola and back around noon. Easy miles. Hot but the wind helped to cool things down. On the way back I saw Patrick in his car while I was at a stop light.

I used to work in Mineola, some good joints to eat there! #alwayshungry

I had a professional training seminar in white plains this weekend (of only it had been last weekend!!). While it meant I was indoors all day Fri-Sun, it did allow me to get a little riding in near Piermont around dinner time.

Sunday I was dealing with Father's Day traffic on the trek home when WAZE routed me onto 73rd street from the Clearview. The GPS must have ESP because who pulls up at the intersection but a studly Philip in resplendent Kissena colors. We must ride together next time.

Ride on Phil
I'm going to show up at BB at 8, 9 at GW.  Light racing day, hope to see some people out.
if this weathers holds (Sunday June 28th, not raining right now in bklyn) will be at the BB @ 8, GWB @9. Goal is to get to Peirmont.

Monitor this channel or txt 347.225.1058 in case of changes.

at the bklyn bridge now leaving w new member Scott hope to find some of you at the GWB
This Sunday, I'll be leading a Redbeard shop ride to Piermont and back. The standard Kissena time, 9am at GW (or start at their shop at 8am if you're in Brooklyn).

Please join me and show support to one of our greatest supporter, Redbeard bikes. This will be a casual, social ride.
Looking for at least one spirited group ride this holiday weekend. Perhaps some on the Sunday Casual sponsor ride want to extend their fun to the Apple Orchards?
I'm out of town this weekend, and found a great mapped ride in Gloucester.  I'm going to try and make my Saturday ride an early one to avoid the crowds going to the beach.  While some can't sleep without the city as background noise, I'm hoping to do okay with missing almost getting hit by a cab on my ride.
Marc how long do you think that ride is? I was thinking of a Bear Mtn century on Sunday

Orchard is a 66 mile GWB-GWB ride, give or take.

I'd be tempted to join you, but the last time I put in 90+ miles a month or so ago, it put a serious damper on my recovery and training for the following week-ish.
I'll be out there Sunday, but won't be able to make all the way up to the Orchards. That puts me at around 95 miles from Brooklyn :-\
I'm planning on a shortish (3-4) ride over the bridge tomorrow at normal times.  Sunday is a possibillity for me too.
@Marc Bertucco what time do you expect to hit the GWB on Sunday? I'd settle for 66 + company :)

9am GWB on Sunday, start with the Phillip group ride, turn off/continue at Piermont seems civilized to me.

Dale, you still around? Anyone up for a 10am GWB depart. Jersey Wormhole. 50-60 miles?
