@Marc Bertucco you mean the regular group ride? WFM.
Almost made it there, but I didn't see anybody at BB, headed up and under the GW, but didn't make it over.  Headed home to enjoy the holiday.

FYI tomorrow's going to need to be 9:45 or 10 at GWB to meet up with the Redbeard group--they are meeting at 8:30 at the shop.

Yeah, start with the regular group ride. When they stop for coffee and/or turn around at Piermont, we keep on going.
@Dale Suttle I think the redbeard ride got moved to the 11th...
Niall,  That's the Sixpoint ride next week.  There is a ride with a group from Redbeard tomorrow. I was wrong about the time though.  It starts at 8, but their still planning on getting to GWB at 9:30.
I'm confused. Is the group ride tomorrow starting from BB/GWB or from a Redbeard bike shop somewhere? Wondering where / when to meet up with (any) group ride tomorrow June 5th. Thanks!
If you're planning on going up to 9w tomorrow, Sunday and you're in Brooklyn, just start from Redbeard and ride with them up to GW then low road from there to Piermont. For everyone else, GW meetup, figure 9:15 or 9:30, which actually works I guess since I'm sure everyone's partying today!
Thanks. We'll aim for GW at 9:15-9:30. We are coming from Brooklyn. Does the Kissena group ride now start from this bike shop? Been in Colorado for a bit -- sorry to be out of the loop.
@Phillip Maronilla
So that your teammates can join, please post exact times and locations (no ranges) to meet in Brooklyn and NJ for tomorrow. Thanks.
I'll be at Redbeard tomorrow between 7:57 and 8:08.
Yes next Saturday is the Sixpoint ride:

Can't make it myself unfortunately (heading to Providence RI! Rhode Island, the last state in the nation still celebrating Victory Over Japan Day).
8am at Redbeard Bikes in Dumbo.  9:15 at GWB.  This is for this week only-a more social ride with the sponsor shop.  On other weekends, rides will continue to leave from the base of the Brooklyn Bridge as in the past.
Tomorrow there is an option to go on to The Orchards with Marc leading at a peppier pace.  This ride is 66 miles round trip from GWB and about 95 from the Brooklyn bridge

And I will be meeting the Orchards Ride riders at the GWB at 9am.

Also got out for some Jersey wormhole riding today. Got rained on quite a bit, had some serious drama with a mysterious flat, followed by the breaking of a valve, a long walk in bare feet, a ride from a dude in a pick-up truck, another flat in the LBS, a revealed blown sidewall and an expensive bike store tire replacement. But the riding itself was good. All told, 57 easy miles.
Ah thanks. Was totally confused. Ok. Joe and I will try to meet at Redbeard Bikes in Dumbo. If we're not there by 8:07 we couldn't make it.
I'll be at redbeard 8am
Marc,

I'm not going to be there, but the idea was for you to wait until the ride from Redbeard got to GWB at 9:15 and then go on to Piermont with them. The Redbeard ride is the "Phillip ride" Those that wanted to go further to the orchards would go on from there.

Okay with me...I'm ahem, usually a bit tardy anyway.

Nice group ride to the Orchards. We met up at 9:15 ish at the GWB. Ingrid, Philip and a new guy (sorry forgot to introduce myself) where there for the Piermont ride and waited a bit longer for other riders to join. Patrick, Niall and special guest race photographer Victor Chan were up for some Orchard action and got rolling by 9:20am-ish.

We kept it pretty civil, all the way until Little Tor, where Patrick LIT IT UP early. Niall and I started a little slower. I had to work, but eventually tracked Patrick down about 1/2 up the climb, then poured on an extra 40-60 watts for the final pitches to ensure I won that KOM. Of course I was pretty cooked and after the drop down and climb back up to the Orchard via the backside, Niall and Patrick killed me good and rode away. Sweet.

Please to report after some refreshment at the Orchards, we continued on home and discovered that the cork-screw descent that had been an infamous wheel breaker has been completely repaved. I can hardly wait to get out there to zip down this roller coaster twister of a descent again!

Some more good rollers and tempo riding with us taking turns cranking 300+ watt pulls. Back up to Alpine, we went straight up the climb to 9W that we usually descend on the way out. And Niall took a page from Patrick's playbook and went out fast early. I thought I could catch him on this actually quite long series of climbs, but he had other ideas. He kept me chasing, put more distance in me and I blew up. Patrick tracked me down and passed me too.

By the numbers, 71 miles, 2547kj, avg speed 16.8mph.

Good riding with the fellas. Thanks guys.

Also, Niall and Patrick...we hit that Little Tor hard enough that I set a new 5 minute power record by 33 watts chasing Patrick and trying to keep away from Niall.
@Marc Bertucco Funny you mention it, I also set a new 5 minute power record by 21w trying to catch you :) The previous record was also set on Little Tor last year when I was chasing Jeff Appruze (and I didn't catch him either). That said, despite the PR, I was 3 seconds slower today, so I must have taken a longer route ;)

Thanks for navigating, always fun to get off the well worn routes.

I think I never start the interval button push at the same place exactly. Need to figure that out. Today, no time to think as Patrick was out like a lightening bolt and I didn't want to let the danger man get too far in front!

Phillip, how was your ride? Who was there?
So it was kinda nice. There were some people coming directly from Redbeard and got to the bridge at 9.30. We broke up into two groups to ride to peirmont. Names that I caught... Elloy, like an alloy. Jeff and Jill went up a hill... Guy, like, that israeli dude. Ilya's wife in a black Redbeard kit. An older gentleman who's retired and likes to cycle most days of the week.
Thanks to Eloy Jeff and Ingrid for showing Kissena colors at the Redbeard ride.

I hung back most of the time keeping a couple of people company who fell off the pace. It worked well since I needed a recovery ride. Did the usual stop at Piermont bikes, had a donut, then back to the city on 9W.

The report I got is that the Redbeard folks enjoyed the low road ride so the Kasia may be incorporating that on her future rides.
Cross post from women's thread:Hello all! I thought this season I'd actually get back into shape , go on a lot of group rides and possibly do some racing after recovering from the wrist break, but now it's good news why you don't see me much, (Kam and) I are pregnant! We are expecting our a girl cyclist in December!
Fantastic! Congrats Daniella.

After the Saturday showdown upstate, I'm looking forward to another 70-ish mile group ride on Sunday. Again, will start riding at 9am leaving from the Jersey side of the GWB, following the traditional KCC Sunday ride path and pace. And go longer/harder from Piermont.

Riders of all fitness levels should come out and join the group riding fun up to Piermont as the pace should be quite manageable for most, if not all.
I'll be there. 8 a.m. BB 9 a.m. GWB.
I'm at the bb now.
