Group Ride (Sat & Sun)

Brian, Dale and I did RR up to Piermont Bikes for coffee. Saw Cap'n Reiners and the Sommerville guys, good hammering back down 9W. Brian and Dale looking strong.

Looking ahead to the weekend, I'm on daddy-duty all day Sunday, so Saturday will again be my day for fun on the open road.

Need a moderately hard training ride leaving around 9am from the GWB. Thinking a Jersey Wormhole ride of about 60 miles since I've been doing the Orchards for the last month or so. Let me know if you want to join.
I know this is the Sat/Sun discussion, but I took this Friday off and was wondering if anyone would be up for an early morning long ride up 9W?

Okay to post here, but FWIW there's a "weekday" thread too:

Sunday muffin run?

Still looking for friends to ride with on Saturday. 6/10 on the difficulty scale. Minimum 60 miles.
I'm in for Sunday...sorry Marc :-(
I'm in for a Sunday muffin run.
Marc, I'll likely be there on Saturday, unless I get a little crazy and go do that time trial with Vlad.  I'll confirm tomorrow.

Do the TT! Vlad needs the competition. And I remember you saying that used to be your forte. We'll do a detailed power comparison here on the forum.
Sorry Marc,  I'm in for the TT.  Going Merckx style, so don't expect any Vlad bashing.
I should be riding Sunday.  I'll start with the standard and then veer off for more and longer fun.

I hear ya, believe it or not, I was considering doing that race too. Looking forward to the race reports. You punks better give up all the numbers too!

Good luck gents!
Tomorrow, will head to Cunningham on the cross bike.

9:30am @ Cunningham, probably for about 2:30 hours

Let me know if you wanna join, post on this forum or txt: 347.225.1058

(if no one reports, might head there earlier)
Nice ride today.  Or half of one.

JP, Jeff, Jill, Julie, Scott, and ?? wearing a redbeard jersey (sorry to have forgotten his name).  Jeff asked if I could lead into a wormhole that would end up by Piermont.

Happy to have obliged.  First time to the Rockland Psychiatric Institute since the spring I think.  Not as creepy on a sunny Sunday, then over to the rail trail and back to Piermont.

I went out over the Water Tower to Rockland Lake, around and back.

Jeff was working the camera.  Hope he got some good ones.

Here's an image of RPI in it's heyday.  Apparently, it housed 9,000 patients.  Big enough to have its own power plant.

RPI is also at the foot of a loop we could turn into a training race course.

Gearing up for the state tt at the end of the month and looking to roll at a pretty quick clip. Any takers? 9am GWB.
Normally I'd be all over that, but I'm doing tokeneke Sunday for whatever reason.

Because GMSR?
I'll be out there this weekend. Vlad, you're thinking Sunday?  Don't know if I can match your pace but happy to show up.
Saturday. Floyd on Sunday.
@vlad Sunday for me. Good luck out there.
I'm in for Sunday.
Dale's dad rolls on a sick Propel!

I hear he hates cussin'. Hope you all kept the jawing clean.
BTW, I'll be at the GWB Sunday at 9am.  Looking to get to the Orchard or close.
Er, anyone heading out to Cunningham early in the morn? I borrowed a cross bike and have no idea where I'm going. Will only have about an hour to ride, and I ride very slowly these days....

Jp, That sounds like a Jimmy tale, no?  Sorry I can't join you tomorrow, parents in town.

Propel was a sweet loaner from Redbeard.  No a bad shop when they give out $10000 loaners.

Hey team, just found out that an old teammate/DS of mine is calling Clinton Hill home for the next month or so. And he wants to ride. Not sure what kind of shape he's in these days, but years ago he podiumed at Cat 1 Elite Nats when it was held on a hilly PA course.

Not sure what mine or his riding plans are this weekend, but I'll give a shout out if I direct him towards a group ride where I won't be able to attend.
