9W to Piermont! Leaving from GWB now

Still planning a 12pm GWB depart. 4-hour ride. Anyone else?

Got out as planned. A little later, a little longer, ate less and didn't bonk. Weird. Last week must have been a freak thing. No KCC sightings this week, but randomly, I chased down an old teammate/DS of mine back from my Chicago days. #smallworld.

See you tomorrow.
I'll be at the GWB tomorrow at 9.  Rockland Lake here I come.
Piermont wrecking crew. Jill fought back hard to take Strictly KOM. Kristina made a timely thermal jacket acquisition. Wedding dress discussion. Good times!

Brendan, are you on secret training? Come join us in future weeks if you can!

Nice sized group. About 7 or so? Some familiar faces, others new. Sorry I didn't get to chat with more of the new faces...that ride to Piermont goes pretty quick.  Hit the low road to Piermont where we split up into the "Rockland Lake" group and the "Coffee" group.

JP and I continued north, but family duties called before he could do the full Rockland Lake. So then just me and well, I figured...I've got about 4 hours left in my chemical foot warmers, why not go long? So dialed back the pace and tootled my way up to the Conklin Apple Orchards (closed until March, FWIW). They are doing a good job of paving some of the worst roads up there.

Stayed grey and cloudy and by the time I got back to Englewood, the bank clock said it was 29 degrees and I believed it. Kind of at the limit for "booty-less" riding for me. Still, roads were dry, no black ice and a good enough day to be out and about.
Sad I missed the good times. Will be on Zwift for about 1.5-2hours right now doing micro intervals and big gear FTP.
DY - I was on at the same time. Maybe I missed it but is the Ride With function searchable across everyone online?
I put Kissena after my last name so I'm findable by a search. It would cool to be able to log in and just search for any Kissena folk on world.
Oh man I just wrapped up about 5 minutes ago.  I think if we friend each other no Zwift, one of us can hit "ride with friend" at the beginning of our rides on the phone app and automatically be placed next to that person.

I'll be on Tuesday doing the training program, usual time is around 7p!
@Marc Bertucco
what brand Toe warmers did you say you liked ?
Saturday snowpocalypse. Who is up for some CX riding in Prospect Park?
anyone know of any bike shops nearby renting fatty bikes?
718 cyclery! http://www.718c.com/rent

The owner, Joe, is pretty much the best.
Redbeard is a bit farther out, but it's worth giving him a call!

718 Cyclery is: http://www.718c.com/rent

Ride Brooklyn (our old shop sponsor) is even closer to PP and might be doing something similar.
Also, there's the 718 Cyclery Fat and Frozen fat bike race at Cunningham! This should be completely insane.

Snow 'cross sounds fun, @Dan Reiners. But so does Fat and Frozen--though it looks like registration is already closed. http://www.718c.com/fatandfrozen/ I'll give 718 Cyclery a call later today to ask what's up and update this post.

Me , what time you thinking
718 should have loaner fat bikes. I don't know if they actually have opened pre-reg. Was considering getting one of the bikes and doing this. If not, I'll join you nuts n Prospect Park.
I was thinking probably 9AM at GAP but playing it by ear to see when we start getting real snow or if snow is blowing too much to make it enjoyable.

This is more "playing bicycles" rather than "riding" so if you're A) afraid of getting your bike dirty, B) concerned about missing your training plan C) don't like it when things devolve to snowball fights and ends with hot cocoa this is not for you.
