Group Ride (Sat & Sun)

I was limited on time today so completed the TAN workout on my own on Long Island. Sorta like a spirited group ride or race (by one person!) without the same highs and lows as a race.

Anyway, I will be at the GWB Sunday morning. I hear that Bertucco will be there doing a endurance wormhole ride which might be a nice alternative to Rockland Lake.
I'll be a no-show.
Alarm failure, sorry guys, please don't wait. Have a wonderful ride!
Couldn't make it out this morning, but I'm going to be doing some easy recovery laps in the park around noon if anyone wants to join.
Glorious weather out there today. Max, Sebastein, JP, Sean, Bruce, Brendan, Nials and I rolled out of the GWB on the warmest day in who knows how long. Marc caught up and then headed off on his wormhole ride. Sean, JP and I headed to Rockland Lake while the rest of the group sought out warm delusions coffee (been watching TWin Peaks lately). Ended up doing a spirited pace line with Will Schneider's group on 9W. Hope we get more days like this
good weekend, lovely weather. hope it stays like this!  (thursday forecast high 60s?!) Team Tempo had some issues today when we encountered pain but no ibuprofen and then the Weather Channel train which, for some reason, made us all forget we were supposed to be in zone 3...oh well!  also, i went to the runcible spoon for the first time in a year or two
In case you missed it in the Grant's Tomb thread, pre-ride the course this Sunday at 8am before the All Hands On Deck ride at 9am, standard GWB meetup.

Hoping to get some solid team riding in and then have to scoot back home earlyish.
Cross posting for tomorrow's Meet Kissena Ride!

may have missed it, but what time are peeps mtg at BB tomorrow before rolling to Grant's Tomb?
I also would like to ride tomorrow and do some Grant's recon. 7:30 BB anyone? That'll get us to Grant's around 8:06 :)
I'll be there. BB at 7:30am doting my brand new Giant SLRs courtesy of RedBeard.
Looks like I can only do grant's recon in the morning. :'(
Don't fancy doing hot laps around GT in 20 degrees Sunday. Let's plan on normal 9am GW and we can do a couple when we come back past.
I'll be at GWB at 9am
there is a nyrr race tomorrow in washington heights at 9am. runners will swarm ft washington ave beforehand, so just a heads up.

i am going to watch the race until ~925. i can meet you guys at Piermont.
No go for me tomorrow. Recco chemical warmers.
I'm out if no one else is going
Prospect Park instead for me
can't make it today
Anyone going out Sunday for the 9am?

I expect to be there.  coming off a rest week and looking ahead to snow, it seems that getting out tomorrow is a good idea.
i'm not going to make it out tomorrow, sick, taking some rest

Smart move.  Probably should have done the same.  so much for my rest week.  Much of my family is sick, I felt a sore throat coming on Friday night, was so-so Saturday, and then feel it coming on again now.

I saw about 12 people out on bikes in total.
yeah i was feeling so so on friday, thought i just needed some sleep, but then didn't feel much better on saturday.  doing grant's definitely didn't help, haha
I'm heading to prospect for a couple hours of endurance / tempo riding, if anyone wants to join! Text me @ 954.540.2092
Drive over 9W and got a good workout in before flurries started at 12:30. Only saw 5 other cyclists on 9W over a 3 hour period. Wow.

Driving over GWB I saw guys plowing bike/walk path. Maybe it will open tomorrow if there isn't much accumulation. Note that in the 3 hours between my two bridge crossings it did not look like they had gone very far. They are almost certainly having to clear lots of thick heavy ice.

We could meet at the GWB on the NYC side at 8:50.  If it's closed, I can take folks up north through the Bronx to Westchester.

Any takers?
Be advised that the NYC Half marathon is tomorrow morning. Starting in CP and going down west side highway to battery park, crossing 42nd street.
How far you going JP? Need to be back by 12. May opt for CP laps.
