JP and I rolled out to Piermont via low road. Bridge ok (no ice). JP did Tweed, I did comfy chair and coffee. 9-dub back. Fairly wet roads—fenders a must—otherwise a super nice day.
Ah, bummer, looks like cat 5 field is full. There's a fair chance someone won't show up so you can get on the wait list, but it's probably a good idea to get to know the new bike on the open road. Enjoy!
I've done hell of Hunterdon every year for the last 5 , but this weekend one of the guys I ride with decided to get married , I reached out to @ mugwump for some good route options and we opted on the one that cut through Harriman state park , which was spectacular , after a few wrong turn ,GPS rerouting ,we arrived with an hour to spare before the service and 106 miles in our legs , The Fat tire bear tasted real good
As for tomorrow, it's going to stop raining by 10am. Not sure if anyone else is thinking that same, but I plan on getting some miles in. Perhaps to Piermont. Or just some loops in the park.
I'll roll Sunday up to GWB, though I'll probably split off after that to do a structured workout. Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to draft my carcass back home on your wheels.
