I’ll be at GWB tomorrow at 9am
See ya up there Patrick
i'll be at BB @ 8am for usual sunday ride
I'll be at the GWB at 9am Sunday.
Looking forward to seeing a gang.
I’ll be there
Running 5 min late
I will see y’all at the GWB, between 9 and 9:15. Wait up for me?
I met JP at the GWB. Eloy, Brian, Will, Ricky and Marc Bertucco rolled up shortly thereafter. We asked the Kissena Chair of Routes and Maps for something out of the ordinary, and of course JP delivered. Check out the route on Strava. Good company, nice efforts. I took my usual parade pace on the Hudson Greenway southbound. Brian, Will and Ricky were nice enough to wait up for me (thinking something was wrong, I think) but I was just cruising. Thanks though--I appreciated it. Nice weather today.
Definitely much fun checking out some new roads! Depending on group size, we should do that more often (as in every weekend) -- I had to turn around a bit early, even finding my way to 9W via new roads was so fun!
I'm going to head out early tomorrow - leaving Brooklyn at about 6:00am to Piermont, back by 10:00 if anyone wants to join. Probably be at BB about 6:10 and GWB about 7:00.
@jim_nelson still looking for company? Where to meet @ BB?
BB 6:10
Corner of Tillary
The early birds

Had to go out late yesterday.
Rode with Keith and ex-Kissena Jeff Owens.
Did a wormhole that's on the flatter side, but didn't ride 9w at all.

Woke up bright and early Sunday morning with a hangover ... nothing a 6am ride with the gang couldn't fix...

Who is riding up to the new member ride from Brooklyn tomorrow?
Bring two bottles, it's going to get hot as balls.
I'll be there! It's father's day after all!!
8:00a at BB?
@JohnPowell I'll see you at BB at 8

Sorry I can't make the new member ride - I'm going to ride early again so I can get back into bed in time for breakfast. Leave Park Slope at 6:00, to the ranger station, and home hopefully by 9:00.
I'll head out for the new member ride. see y'all at the GW!
And... mechanical. I won’t make it for the morning ride. Poop
Heard a Kissena was hurt pretty bad; seen by the Manhattan bridge.

Any word of whom and how that person is?
Anyone planning on riding up to 9W after the memorial at the Manhattan Bridge? I know I could use some miles to get out my frustration/anger/sadness.
Yes. That is the basic plan. I'll post about it on the Memorial thread.

Basically:

1. Meet at GAP 8am
2. Ride two laps Memorial laps
3. Those than want, will head to the Manhattan bridge and lay some flowers -- some might choose to skip this
4. There's a good chance Phil's family might meet us at the bridge
5. After the Manhattan bridge we can ride upstate
6. Those that wont head to the bridge, can ride a few more laps in Prospect and then recombine at Flatbush Doughnut Plant
7. Those that went to the bridge, but don't want to ride too long, also meet at Doughnut Plant

The Doughnut Plant has donuts, but more importantly it has a large outside bench, that should make it possible to accommodate a good number of us.
Reposted from memorial thread:

A quick update. John Malcolmson, the guys from the bridge and I met with the family today. It was a positive a healing meeting for all involved.

His family will be joining us to lay flowers at the bridge at the end of the memorial ride. We will meet and lay flowers at the Brooklyn entrance to the bridge near Jay street. I will say a few words and anyone else who wishes to say some words can do so as well.

Afterwards cyclists can continue to ride to Piermont or have a donut or do whatever feels right.

As a reminder we are meeting at GAP at 8am.

Hope to see you there
I have yet to try this ,but ,I'm thinking about doing the Old Croton Aqueduct trail Saturday July 7th,
Its about 60 miles from Brooklyn on mostly gravel / hard pack trails, plan to take the train back from Peekskill , after a beer in the brewery ,
Any interest?
