Group Ride (Sat & Sun)

I’m going to do an hour of recovery in PP tomorrow morning around 6:00a or 6:30a on the “pretty bike.”
These pictures are super hot. This was a huuuge and super fun and pretty safe ride! There were at least 100 of us out there. I did not count exactly. Kevin set a Kissena KOM on the stateline sprint I think and we hit like 48mph somewhere which is ludicrous.
Due to the lead out...
Disregard what I said earlier. I’m joining the Redbeard ride at 8:00a. That’s the right time, right @RichFreeman?
I expect to be at the GWB at 9.  Back to NYC by noonish.
jp, i'm planning on being to gwb by 9am. if anybody is heading out from bk, i'll be at bb @ 8... although i've been known to run late
These are GREAT photos!! @Kevin Man is a serious talent. I need to remember to shave and look pretty before riding with you. Thanks for these pictures!
Great pictures Kevin!

@eloy

I wish.

But you've gotten me thinking.  Now I want to see if I can get a car to do the Ho-Ho-Kus Loop (we did it together ages ago) on Sunday.  75 miles, lots of climbing.  Haven't done it in at least a few years.
Do you have a route for this somewhere (rwgps/strave/mmr)? Considering long rides for Sunday.

Candidates also include, redoing Neversink, or some old Union Vale/Housatonic mashup.

if you guys need route ideas let me know.
Hi Kissenistas,

Dreaming on another longish Sunday road ride:

128km 2000m (75ish miles 6000ish feet):
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/30713395

Starts at Union Vale Town Hall, via the old race loop, including the crazy town climb to Wingdale, then to the Bull Frog's covered bridge, to lake Waramaug because SUMMER, a quick Kent visit, and ultimately tracing the Housatonic back to Pawling and Union Vale.

Wont be for the faint of heart (or for bicycles that rattle) but would love some company.

Driving out from Brooklyn before 7am, with the hope to be riding before 9am. Have a zip car in reserve and can bring one, maybe two people.

Might still change the route slightly, the possibilities are endless!

Let me know here or text if interested: 347.225.1058

I would love to join but never done 6,000 of climbing before and would hate to be a burden to the rest.
@eloy that looks awesome, wish I could join you but I can only ride on Sat.

Good luck to the racers!
Have a few interests meeting us in Prospect Park @ 9AM on Sun for some easy spins if anyone is interested.
What is "easy" in Olsson's dictionary?
Anyone doing the Redbeard ride tomorrow? Thinking of doing a double header... Redbeard then Kissena prospects ride.
Hey! Anyone interested in doing a end of summer ride out to Oyster bay?
Here’s a route that I searched. Let me know if anyone is interested.

This looks like a cool ride! I’ve done this route or an almost identical route heaps of times when I lived in Queens. The LIE service road starts out kinda scary but it mellows our after a few miles. I might recommend going a little further north at the turn around and doing a loop of Caumsett State Park to fill up bottles. The road leading up to the park is super fun, sort of hilly and there’s a narrow stretch along the water that’s really cool.

You can also check out the Triangle Cyclists website because all of their loops are public and in this area (start from the service road). But you kind of can’t go wrong in Oyster Bay!

I never heard of that website. I’ll check it out now.

Mt. Greylock

Anyone fancy a ride through the Berkshires? Have a campsite reserved at a nearby state park this coming weekend. 100k ride...6,000 ft of climbing to summit of Mt. Greylock (tallest point in MA).

I plan on doing the ride early Sun morning but will be there all weekend. Plenty of room for multiple tents. Reach out on slack if interested.

The Route (start/finish at state park)

^ This is an epic climb, thoroughly recommend!
Also, have a great Airbnb recco (at foot of mountain).
P.S. there's a shop at the top for refuel. Also you cross the Appalachian trail.
Not really a group ride , as i plan on riding out to Sag harbour on friday , i looked up a couple of routes , based on the montauk century mostly , does anybody have a recommended route?
@JohnOlsson I was just in Hancock a few days ago. It's really pretty out there. Enjoy!
Anyone keen for a longish ride over the GWB on Saturday? 0800 hours at the Brooklyn Bridge...
Well
I ignored everyone’s route advice😬 and took a ride from Brooklyn through the Rockaway's and headed east , through Rockville center and was surprised , no  statue of @PatrickGrehan
then along the side of the LIRR to Babylon, not the highlight,
Hits some beach towns before heading north to Riverhead, where my phone died ,after snaking through a Trump protest in Watermill ,I
arrived 7 hours after leaving home 113 miles on the clock
a great Friday
Running behind schedule if anyone is going BB - 0810.
awesome, Mark!!
Anyone want to do a nice long ride tomorrow? No route planned yet, going to try and devise a nice climbing route. Perhaps early morning?
I’m in, what time you trying to roll out?
