I'm heading out of town early Saturday, but hope we can run this clinic again soon!
Yass! My elbows are ready 😂
I'm a maybe. If it were Saturday it would be easier for me. I'll know Sunday morning and if I'm going I'll most likely drive to @RobertPeras, and ride up with him...
I'll be there (8am @ BB).
It looks like I should be able to get out tomorrow. Meet you guys at the GWB at 9.
I have a family emergency that is taking me off this, the infamous JP is (kindly) jumping in to lead.
All I ask is someone video each of the 10 skills listed above for our KCN Youtube channel. :^B
Hope everything is good @JohnMalcolmson
Imma bring my real camera tomorrow to capture all the watts!
@JohnMalcolmson I hope everything is OK
I know it's early, but, early weather predictions say that next weekend should be decent-ish (mid 40s F.) If any one is keen on coming out this way for a ride, I think I have a decent, just a hair under 60 mile with 3000+ft of climbing, route which takes you around the scenic north shore between Smithtown, and Cold Spring Harbor. I even found a coffee shop in Cold Spring Harbor which is about the mid way point.

@AndrewJohnson that's a sweet route. Gonna try and get out for that. Love all those hills on that, some good windy descent in the Huntington area. Whenever I am at my parents house, I pretty much always ride something similar to this route
@cpulvidente, the views yesterday were very nice too, blue sky, and blue water with some ice formations close to the shore...
Been a while since I've been part of such a big Kissena group at the bridge.
13 of us rolled north for fun and games.

Good time was had, I hope, by all.  A bit of chaos as a derailleur hanger was ripped off and necessitated a return to Piermont.  But everyone was in good spirts and it meant we got to climb up sparkle for a second time.  Felt better the second time.

We got a decent roll on coming south on 9w.  A bit sloppy at the start and not quite close enough to one another, and not at full gas.  But the first time as a 13-some, so it's a decent benchmark for future weeks.  Hoping people will come out to repeat the fun, ride closer, smoother, and faster.

Kevin took pictures.

@AndrewJohnson what day were you thinking? I may be able to swing Saturday. If any city folks want to visit the LI sticks, I can fit two more bikes on my rack (that didn't quite sound right).

@RobertPeras and @DanSztanga, I'm good either day, as long as the weather holds that is...

I'm flexible. The RR is 800m from my house. B) . If you and @RobertPeras can make it, you are also more then welcome to shower after at my house... Maybe get pizza after torching 2000+ Calories :3
@ShaneMurphy, I forgot, check for any disruptions on the LIRR, lately they've been doing work on the signaling and shutting down certain branches over the weekend. If you do take the train and want to bring a backpack of stuff we can leave it at my house while we ride. Warning, I do have cats, in case you are allergic.
@AndrewJohnson i can't open your link. Do you have it on ridwithgps?

the link is a file, gpx which you should be able to load in garmin and Wahoo computers... or even google earth. I have in connect.garmin.com, I can share out, or if you are friends with me on Strava, it's the ride I did Saturday. Riding home from office in 5 min so I'll try to get you more specifics after I get home and put my computer back together..  lol
Here it is: https://www.strava.com/routes/23969713
Looks like train ride out is clear but return is not.theres PCT testing effecting Brooklyn connections, its a bit vague after that so let me look into it a little more, cats are cool with me! @AndrewJohnson
@ShaneMurphy check the Babylon and Ronkonkoma branch, worst case I can give you a lift to those lines...
So what day have we decided on the LI advanture? I can leave Brooklyn (Prospect Park) with a car and a rack for three bikes.
Saturday works best for me... Sunday is a maybe
I have to work saturday but let me know if you guys decide on sunday and if someone has space in car that would be amazing ,if not I found LIRR to central islip has no service changes and only 5miles from smithtown, but won't make it to smithtown till 9ish
I'm good for Saturday or Sunday, up to you guys to decide. Either way I'm doing two 100Km or so rides over the weekend, so I'll just plan the Huntington route for when you guys can make it. If you are taking the train I can come get you in Islip.
Who else is thinking of coming?
Me
Feeling lonely.  don't have the time to to go LI.  Will be starting from the usual on Sunday, I think.
