Did @Matt Budofsky  and others show up for the ride this morning?  Curious.  I went out later.

I'll be at the GWB at 9am SUNDAY (aka tomorrow).  Plan to be back at the GWB at 12:45pm.

Heard the bridge on County road is finally open.  But happy to go wherever.
Reminder: Tomorrow January 2nd, 9:30 am Cunningham on the cyclocross bike.

Let me know here or text me if you can join: 347.225.1058

(I might change my start time, if I don't hear from anyone)
Met up with no one at the GWB, so I headed west to Wayne.

It was beautiful out.  And, as per normal on New Year's day, no one was out doing anything.

new year, same trails, good times w Remy & Cedric

I headed out on saturday solo. It was foggy, damp and kinda cold (I got hot before the bridge, then while waiting called down a ton). I followed JP's route to Campgaw, then through Suffern until I came back to Saddle River Road, then bugged out and headed for home (about a 10-15 minute ride). It was starting to drizzle by the time I got home so I wasn't mad that there was a big pot of chicken noodle soup on the stove bubbling away
Gonna aim for a 4ish hour ride to 9W Market from South Brooklyn on Saturday morning, if anyone wants to join. It’s gonna be cold but I’m gonna wrap up. If it starts precipitating, I’m gonna bail.

My plan is to be at BK Bridge at 8:45am, GWB at 10, go up 9W to market or pierpoint for a coffee, then head back along river road. Join if you’d like! My # is 631-974-2891.
The usual for me Sunday morning.  I'll be at the GWB at around 9:05am.  If people want, we can go the low road to Piermont.  There, some will stop for coffee.  I'm planning on heading north to the Orchard.  Not sure which way.  then back by around 1pm
Solo both days out East
Turned out to be a nearly perfect January day, if a few degrees warmer than normal.

*Rolled out with a non Kissena Friend, Fabrizio.  I took him on some detours en route to Piermont road.

*GOOD NEWS--THE BRIDGE ON 505 HAS BEEN REBUILT AND THE ROAD IS OPEN.

*After dropping Fabrizio off in Piermont, I rode the newly-paved road to Nyack, then to Nyack beach and the gravel path to Haverstraw.

*next stop, the Orchards.

*I was really sluggish, and the market there was open, so I Coked up.

*The day warmed up nicely; ear band was stowed.

*5 minutes post Coke, and legs were almost found.  And stayed about there to the end.

*Super Bowl ride is coming up.

Going to be a little chilly but is anyone interested in riding up to Piermont on Sunday?

Also I got into cycling when river road was all messed up so I actually have never rode on it, so I'd be up for that if someone would go with me!
I’ll be at the GWB at 9am Saturday. Looking for an endurance ride to piermont. Will be chilly, so dress warm if you are thinking of joining
I'm possibly in for tomorrow depending on if I get moving in the morning fast enough. I’ll be on my cross bike if I make it in time
I'm possibly in for tomorrow if I can wake up in time.
I too Will be on a cross bike
Overslept today’s ride so going to try again tomorrow. Super chill endurance pace, either heading to piermont or nyack depending on how the group feels. Meet at gwb at 9
@Matt Budofsky

This kind of agression, like, won't stand, man.

Uh oh! You’re not the Local Legend anymore

You just lost the title of Local Legend on Head for the cobbles!.

Matt Budofsky’s 3 efforts set the new bar for the most attempts completed on that segment in the past 90 days.

Time for you to get back out there!

New Local Legend Effort

Saturday was chilly , bumped into Greg and James , Patrick greeted us in sneakers
kept loosing each other and regrouping figured, you were doing your things

I'll be at GWB tomorrow at 9am.  Come ride bikes.
don't think I can make 9am tomorrow.

But, assuming I get another negative Covid Test, I expect to be at the GWB 9am Sunday morning.
Planning on riding Cunningham tomorrow (Sat Jan 21) on the CX bike. Starting around 9:30am.

Please let me know here or at: 347.225.1058 if you wanna join -- If I don't hear back, I might start later/earlier or bail and join Greg.
Greg, I will try and join you but it kinda depends on how late I’m out tonight, but I’ll try and make it.
I expect to be at GWB Saturday. With cycling shoes
I’ll be there

Overcast but warm January day.  John M, Adam Y, James R, and guest Marc Bertucco at the bridge.  I took a Covid test before leaving--two negative tests two days apart should mean I'm clear of Covid and not a threat to others.

A bit of a slow start as John had a slow leak in his tire an it wasn't seating.  Ended up leaving him to go home.

We rode the low road to Piermont.  The bridge is rebuilt, but, oddly, the pavement on the side of the road just before the bridge, on an otherwise newly paved stretch, is a mess.

After dropping Adam off in Piermont, we took the smooth Piermont road to Nyack, then Nyack beach for the gravel ride to Rockland Lake.  from there, around teh reservoirs and back home.

Don't know if it was wise, but I was going deep on the hills.  I was surprised I could.

James saved his best for last.  We rode up Palisades ave from Englewood.  He was drilling it whenever it got steep.  Don't know what it says about my riding, but I got several PRs there, according to Strava.  Not only was it the end of a long ride, but it's January.

I'll be at GWB tomorrow at 9am.  Come enjoy the "nice" weather on two wheels.
