I intend to meet JP at the GWB Sunday

Going to ride mountain bikes with Jeff and Mark at Stillwell at 9am Saturday if anyone wants to join
Should be in for Sunday’s ride
Going to try my darndest to make it tomorrow. Depends on how heavy this morning’s red eye flight is sitting.
Woke up to a cold so I’m gonna bail and rest up
Sunday at the bridge.

I linked up with Adam Yaffe at the start of the Northwalk.  I found Brett Sigler and Patrick Grehan waiting on the Jersey side.  Shortly thereafter, Mark Taylor and Jeff Condon linked up, and we were joined by Marc Bertucco and Todd Brilliant, the latter of whom seemed a bit more than mock-concerned that we might not want to ride with him because he was wearing shorts in sub-40 weather.  I assured him he was fine.

Mark, Jeff, and Brett headed for Piermont at Sparkill.  Todd went right as we went left after Mountainview, and the rest of us continued on.

We probably should have made Patrick sit for the steepest pitches as that's what he'll have to do come Ronde time.

I think just about everyone was expecting it to warm up much more than it did.  I know I was glad that I had gone with the winter jacket and wind-front tights, even though I had initially expected to dress lighter.  Marc kept shaking his hands in the air to see if he could get some circulation and would announce when any feeling crept into his fingers.  On our way back, Patrick fumbled getting a charcoal hand warmer into his glove--frozen fingers are not terribly dextrous.

It really didn't reach the 48 degrees I was promised,
my first time on the north side crossing, couldn't help think that it has now attracted a lot more runners than the south side used to get ?
So, who all will be at the GWB Sunday morning?

Let's go clinic up our skills and have fun.
I’ll be at the BB at 8 AM and then the GWB at 9 AM on Sunday. Join me if you’re not racing, or if you are racing, and just a glutton for punishment

Happy to have you join, but that was this past Sunday. I am sure others will be out this weekend
Gwb tomorrow at 9. Role north over Bradley to nyack, maybe stop for a donut or roll a few laps of rockland lake and then motor down 9w
Anyone have any eyeballs on the salt situation up there?
there is no salt situation
I’ll go after 12, seems more pleasant temperature wise
Add me to the 9am starters at the GWB.

My desire is to make it to Rockland Lake before heading back.
@LennartZandbergen

Just add a layer and join us at 9.  the more the merrier.  And faster.

This was great advice!
Matt, Lennart, Todd, Myself, (& marc bertucco) at the bridge.

It was windy and my computer said it was 30f.  Others said it might be colder.  My legs were pretty sore from yesterday.  It was good to have company, as always, but on a day like today, when the weather isn't comforting and the legs aren't responding, having a crew made the miles much easier.

We decided to basically do the traditional route--oof.  It felt like a block headwind most of the way north.

Matt, Lennart, and Todd headed for Nyack after climbing Bradley.  I went on to Rockland Lake.

I'm planning on a Sunday ride up to Piermont this coming weekend and depending on the crew would love to do some basic race techniques and tactics practice and drills.
Tomorrow morning, BB at 8am. I’ll be heading to Piermont.
I'm in for the Sunday group ride.
Bradley-Tweed-Piermont coffee and back anyone?
