Glad to hear Oscar is okay.
Glad to hear Oscar is okay.
He was supposed to play table tennis with a friend about an hour after we got home.  I cleaned his wound, he ate lunch, took a nap, and headed out.

Shaken, yes.  But I told him that I also rode into a parked car once, which I was embarrassed by.  He wanted to get home as quickly as possible, so we took the most direct route, but I think he's ok.
Fun times with Jim and Dave , amazing weather

Zwifting tomorrow 8:15am, follow me so I can add you to the meetup.
Anyone riding 9am at the GWB Sunday, or is everyone either 'crossing or mtb'ing or cross-training?
I’m gonna try and do BB and GWB tomorrow AM.
I guess David slept in.

I was at the bridge solo, so I did my usual Sunday Kissena ride, more or less.  My legs weren't great, but I was hoping they'd come around toward the end.  When I got to 9W by the market, I saw a follow car and a group of cyclists, so I chased it down.  But they were noodling, so I kept rolling, looking for my group.  Up Stateline, I found a good rhythm and rode by at least a dozen people, catching the final four meters before the road flattens.  'Legs are coming around' I thought.  I hit the second horseman fairly hard, and was feelign good about it.  Then, when it flattened out, a guy came rolling past me, hard.  Don't know if he was sitting on me or chasing me down.  No matter.

I needed to recover at least to the hill top past the scout camp.  When we got there, the guy rolled harder.  Ooof.  I asked if it was ok that I sat on, because I didn't think I was strong enough to trade pulls with him.  He said, 'it doesn't matter to me.'  I sat in, he hammered, and was even kind enough to point out potholes.  Every rise, he ramped it up.  Even sitting behind him on the rises meant I was tickling 500w just to keep up.

Kept on him to the bridge, and chasing him over the GWB was a bit too sketchy, so I let him go. In retrospect, I probably had enough to take some shorter pulls.  He might have appreciated it, we would have gone faster, and I could have upped my power--though 27.1mph from Hillside ave to the GWB is pretty decent.

Strava tells me I set some 9W PRs.  Love to figure out who he was.

The kissena kit is really attractive
Might depend a bit on how and when the rain lets up, but so far, my plan tomorrow (Sunday Oct 15) is to head to Cunningham on my CX bicycle. I should be on the east side entrance around 9:45am.

Please let me know if interested in joining, here or via text: 347.225.1058

-- I might change my start time or do something else if I don't hear from anyone, will post here if rain changes the plans, could easily be convinced to start earlier.
I'll be at GWB at 9am tomorrow.  Looking to do something longish. Kinda steady.  Maybe Orchards, but open to other routes since it's gonna be nice out.
Count me in for tomorrow!
Planning on hitting Cunningham tomorrow (Sat Nov 4th) on my CX bike. I expect to be on the west side of the trails around 8:45am. And will likely ride for 2 hours to 2:30 or so.

Former Kissena James Reeder will join.

Let me know here or via text: 347.225.1058 if you wanna join, as we could change our plans slightly if we don't hear from anyone.
I'll be at GWB at 9am tomorrow.  Post up if you'll be joining, I may leave earlier if I don't hear from anyone.
Went solo to the orchards , recovering from a cold, still very congested but nice to take it easy
Ended up riding with the VO2max guys today.  It was tough, steady ride.  A bit dicey heading back on the South County Trail with such a large group.

Tomorrow 9am @ gwb.  Looking to do something a bit more chill.
@GregHoge  Riding the Trailway with that group, or any speedy group, on the weekends is not anything I'd endorse.
See you at GWB Greg. Marathon today.
A beautiful autumn morning ,
9am @ gwb tomorrow. Post up if you'll be there.  Might head out early if I don't hear from anyone.
@GregHoge
just woke up , should be there ,
9am gwb tomorrow (Saturday the 18th). Gonna ride to Piermont via low roads (possibly Bradley Tweed depending on the mood) and back on 9w.
Tomorrow (Sat 18th) heading to Cunningham on the CX bike.

Expect to be on the trails around 9am for 2:30 ish hours.

Text or let me know here if you wanna join: 347.225.1058 -- if I don't hear from anyone might change my start time.

Will be fun!
