Enjoyed the ride today. There will be road races where it's just a brutal slog. In part 3 of the day, Keith was right at home, took us around Snake Bite corner and just kept motoring and motoring until I was crying like a baby (I was going to say "like a girl," but in part 1, new girl, Kim handled her business cranking along with us just fine).

Early on in the ride, Perlberg put his newfound 25 second power records to good use, by easily coming around my wheel in the flat Norwood townline sprint.

Next time, I hope to be able to keep up to initiate the Kikoman, end of ride, 9W sprint too.

Ryan got thimble. Has the double thimble-jawbone rarity which I think has only been equaled by WDC.

It was fun. It was hot. It was long. 85 miler in that heat = slogfest.

And yeah, great to meet Kim and ride with Derek and Ben and Neil and everyone else I don't see often enough!

So Jeff told me the thimble was on the line for the very special dirt-road to traffic circle climb and the Fort Lee hill sprint. So I won both of those. Then Ryan made up some new rules how the thimble and jawbone only go to Alpine and Bradley climbs. I think I'm going to take this one to arbitration.

Ha....I don't claim the thimble from today because of my watertower climb brain fart. But I do think you guys are making up the rules! Joe is the official on this, he started the thimble.

I bought the thimble. And ring pops. You guys elevated the jawbone to climbing prominence, thus, the thimble is an all around treasure, to be spread amongst the plebs.

Mike's climbing ability much improved.  I was around 10 sec back from Ryan on Bradley, with Mike only about 20 sec back from me.  Otto von Bismark est strongman!

For anyone not racing tomorrow: I'm thinking about trying to squeeze in an early ride across the GWB tomorrow before the heat makes me want to melt. River Road, Alpine, and Piermont and back depending on the heat. Thinking about leaving around Brooklyn around 6 am if anyone's interested.

Is anyone going for a ride on Sunday?  It said it might rain but if it doesn't... 

Id like some leg bashing tomorrow.
