But to cycle. Gates to myrtle to union turnpike to little neck parkway.

Leading another slow group ride on Sunday. 9am. Leave from Jersey side of the GWB. Around 4 hours. Secret JP Inland Jersey route. Climbing, but I will be taking all very easy. Double no drop rule.

Please don't come on this ride if you want to hammer, or your idea of an easy ride is a steady 270 watts on the flats, with 400 watt 2-minute efforts up climbs.

Marc, I'll be joining partway, but will peel off early to head back to Brooklyn by noon.

Those power numbers aren't easy, they are just base! At least for someone my size...

Must have missed the early group and the late group. Hung out at gwb nj side until about 915 but didn't see anyone. Decided to solo up river road to alpine. Saw the late group going up 9W as I was coming back down. Saw another kissena hammering up the bridge a trying to catch up.

The new kit easily gave me an extra 5watts.

I just wanna point out how lovely it always is riding with Stokes. He's smooth on AND OFF the bike. What?...

Oh and Eric rode today too. And we met Patrick and got him some shiny new pedals in Piermont.

FYI, for those thinking about the slow ride with Bertucco, know that I can get you too and from, but directing you home mid-ride is going to be complicated. But if you have a garmin "go home" button, it probably doesn't matter much.

The Third Annual Criterium Workshop is just around the corner. So set up for the turn, put your inside leg up, nail the apex and put SUNDAY MAY 19 on your calendar.

In addition to previous year's favorites, this year features new bike handling skills and drills, meant to exaggerate the bike handling demands of criterium racing.  I've also been promised prizes to hand out!

We'll meet on the Jersey side of the GWB, talk for about 15 minutes, ride to the Rockleigh criterium course, drill for about 1 hour, then riders are free to head back home or further north for more riding. It's a 3 hour day, bridge to bridge.

might be headed to bear on sunday. probably gwb 9am hilly route to bear cove deli, then home fastest way possible. 100-120 miles round trip for the brooklyners usually. the tentative "group" is me and a couple cat 1's. pace could be pretty murderous. depends on people's mood.

Im hitting Nyak in the afternoon, GWB for 2 if anyones interested in a later ride. 

I'm hard pressed to think of something lamer than an early ride in the park on a beautiful weekend day.  That said, with the current state of my knee and Family Man obligations that's what I'll be doing tomorrow.
