Red Hook Crit

+ 1 on both Mattie and Joe's comments.

The key to the 180 hairpin is to take it, as much as possible, wide and sharp.  This is especially important on a brakeless track bike.

Johnny - the bump isn't a big deal.  DO NOT BUNNY HOP OVER THE BUMP
Exception, if you are in the lead on the final lap, with a sizeable margin, you are expected to both bunny hop the timing strip and get rad.
lol.
For reference only.

Anyone have a 56" bike they could loan for training & racing to a certain Pro CX'er who recently joined?  Word is he's going to put his hat in the ring.

Email me if so.
@jules
Maybe you should ask Al Barouh at Ride Brooklyn
It's official.  Garrigan is in.  He'll be riding for Restore Red Hook.  Word is Chabs is his Jedi.  Last saw Chabs riding on Canadian Mike's back muttering...

I'll be there. No kids.

I can't, sadly - gotta work that night.
i'm gonna try, but might roll up late.  if anyone gets a chance, post where y'all will be meeting up and i'll try to find you (will be riding over)
If last year is any indication; it's a zoo.  *Very* hard to meet people without landmarks.
Can someone give specifics about the course. I'm bringing my wife and want to minimize my own confusion over the location: "Brooklyn Cruise Terminal".

I'll be there to cheer. Hoping to head over early enjoy some dinner and some key lime pie! Then make my way in for the running race. Jules/all let me know when you get there. I'm going to try and watch the beginning of the race from the s curve after the start finish.
Running? Ewwwwwwwwww.....
I'll be there watching as well. Might be with some non-cycling folks, so don't be offended if I pretend I don't know you.
Hey guys, I'm planning to come too and cheer on the KCC contingent! Good luck to everyone's who riding...

I'd say I'd meet up with everyone who's coming to watch but sounds like it'll be packed. Suffice to say if you recognize me (black framed glasses, 6' 2", brown hair, half ginger beard, charming Irish smile, unnecessary British swagger), say hi!
I will be there too.

I'm basically the opposite of Kieran's description: small, ferret-faced, grating nasal Northeastern honk. You will recognize me by the wavy cartoon "drunk" lines radiating from my flushed face.

Holler!
I might bring a date. So like Whitey said, "no, I've never met these people that know my name before".
If jet lag doesn't continue to consume me, I'll be there, too. I'll have my yellow/white Fuji with me as well. It's met some of you years ago, but don't be offended if it doesn't remember your names.

I will be there tomorrow night to check it out
Priscilla and I are going for to the RH Lobster Pound for lobster rolls, beforehand and I then meet some or all of you clowns down there.
I'm aiming for the lobster pound also. Hope there will be something left.
We'll save you a seat then.
What time?
Jules and I will be dining at Ikea around 5pm.
We're thinking around 6ish for Lobster pound. too late and it'll get crowded.
Jules and I will be dining at Ikea around 5pm.
