These helmets are awesome.....the new roc-loc is to helmets what electronic shifting is to...well...shifting

Hello everyone!

It's been awhile since I've...well, ridden my bike, posted anything, or checked the forums at all...BUT, I'm a new-ish Dad, and lazy.

Anyway, I had it up last year, and this year, as we're probably making a move in a few months, I need to get rid of a pair of bikes that pains me to lose, but...well...Baby needs a new pair of shoes...with cleats.

I've got a 56cm Surly Steamroller, in a lovely Beige-ish colourway. Pretty much all original parts, but I put flat bars and grips on it myself.

I'm selling that, with Shimano SPDs, for $500 obo. It's about 3 years old, and not ridden all that much in the last year and a half.

I'm also still holding a Schwinn Peloton...'06 vintage...compact carbon frame...Sized "Large"... To put it in perspective, I'm 6' tall, 32" inseam, and I'm currently riding a 2011 56cm Madone.

It's actually a great bike, it served me well, and it's loaded up with SRAM Red Shifters, Rival Rear Derailleur and brakes, and Force Carbon Compact Cranks.

Mavic Ksyrium SE wheel set...in great shape...Fizik Antares Carbon saddle...Easton Carbon bars...Speedplay Zero Pedals...Thompson Seat Post

It's a great mix of parts...if you've crashed out your bike and could use a well built temporary replacement, this will fit the bill. If you've got a frame that you wanted to build up with some great parts, you can strip this thing down and use the goodies from it.

I was selling it at one point for $900, but at this point, I'll take $700 obo.

Let me know if you want to see either of them...I'm more than happy to show them to you...or send pics.

Thanks!!
Hi All,

Wasn't certain where to post this but I'm looking to borrow any Time Trial equipment for this weekend's Tour of the Dragons stage race in Vermont. If anyone has any aero bars, an aero helmet or just a straight up TT bike (I'm a size 58cm) to lend, borrow, rent for $$, whatever-- let me know. The course looks pretty hilly and I was planning to go sans aero equipment, but if anyone in the club has something to lend, it's much appreciated. Thanks!
Surprised we don't have a thread like this already - thought it would be a good one to start.

First post: I'm looking to borrow a TT helmet, size small, for Tour of the Dragons. I have an older one that I got from Wojciech the wanderer awhile back, but its never fit very well.

Anybody got a really sexy one they'd be willing to loan that will take like 90 seconds off my TT on Saturday?
I've got a Rudy Wingspan size S/M if you're interested.
Craig,
I think Marc Bertucco, who lives close to you, has that stuff.  I also have bars (vision clamp ons) and helmet (giro, medium).

I have a one armed cheapo dealie you can borrow whenever/indefinitely.  Are you building wheels or just truing up current ones?
Wow.  Just.  Wow.  If this guy isn't wearing KCC kit in a month we have all failed.  Group Seppuku thread to follow.

i love that man.

"What else? Ryan, the paint's a little dinged up. Yeah, well, that's called real life. It comes at you fast, bro."
going to buy an HR monitor to train w/ some sort of objective metric.  i want it to work with my bluetooth phone in order to work with strava.  though that'll cost me $60/year...any suggestions?
I have a Polar HR to sell you if you want it- $50 bucks- barely used. Not sure if it is bluetooth compatible but I used it with strava just fine. I think they all work with the polar website. Let me know if you're interested. Short of a $2000 investment into a powermeter, HR is best and def yields results.

Looking for a shimano/sram gxp powermeter.
Vlad,
Even at the 24mm spindle diameter, Shimano Gigapipe and SRAM GXP are different on the left side.

I know, it's a pain. I'll probably just get the gxp cranks/rings put on my cinqo and one of these:

Unless someone is selling gxp quarq or a shimano srm.
Why bother Vlad, you know you're just going to post a number that has too many digits for the screen...
Brendan buy a powercal hr strap...it gives you decent power guestimations as well from an algorithm that is so secret, the Chinese have been hacking Cyclops site to get at it...Well for $100 you have a really good hr strap too....it is ant + so you would have to get a wahoo ant adapter for your phone...something to ponder

Hi all,
For Sale: Quarq SRAM Red 2013 power meter crank. Bb30 39/53. Basically brand new. Used for 1 month. Bought and installed at Ride Brooklyn. Paid $2200. Asking price is $1350 Obo.

Also for sale is Garmin Edge 510 with the HR/ cadence bundle. Paid $390. Asking price is $250. Again 1 month old and basically brand new.

Email me through the board. I am open to offers.

Craig...curiosity rules here...are you going super old-school with your training by giving up your new toys? Also, how's the touch screen action of the 510?
I'm in need of a sram rear right hand shifter.

Anyone have one around? Rival is fine.
Apex snob!
Hah. I'd take apex too.
I would like to borrow a wheel bag. Only really need to take one wheel. Leaving on Sat morning.
I will gift you one. Come to the office.

Best,

-Eric
