Hey Jack! Welcome welcome!
Jack - welcome to the club !

We enjoyed talking to you and Egor ? (spelling?) after the race last weekend. Glad you decided to come on board.

Good morning! My name is Brian Sica

Normally in the triathlon circuit, I've joined up with Kissena because cycling is by far the best part of the race (and you guys are obviously the coolest group right?). Also, my bike handling needs some work, and it's way more fun to ride in a group.

I just moved here from Los Angeles, did my first Cat 5 race last weekend, and loved it so much I'm doing the one in Central Park on Sunday. I've heard there is a new member ride tonight at 7? Is this true?

Look forward to meeting you all.

Hello Brian,

Welcome to the club. As another former Angeleno I am happy to see you here. Come out and join us at Grand Army Plaza for out New Member Ride this evening, 7pm we're looking forward to meeting some of the new members and getting a chance to ride with you all.

I hope to make it out (pesky work might cause me to miss it)
Hello all,

My name is Matt Alford.  I started riding in April.  I did my first century June 10th and bonked super hard.  I like to ride to Piermont or Nyack on the weekends and can make it to Prospect park on the weekdays.  I tried to ride up little tor but had to stop.  I also had 2 flat tires the day I tried to ride up little tor.  I like watching the tourminator, Peter Sagan.  I followed 4 Kissena team members last Saturday, they looked like good riders, so I joined the club in hopes that I could one day ride like the wind - like them.

Best wishes,
Matt Alford
Yo Matt! Welcome to the club. You will soon ride like the wind.
Welcome Matt.  See you on the road.
Hey Everyone,

My name is Wes and I joined Kissena about 2 weeks ago. I currently live in Clinton Hill, Bk and can be found in PP most mornings before work. I've been riding for fun/ fitness for a few years but just started racing this summer. I'm looking forward to training, riding and racing with the club.

Kim! I got in touch with former Kissena female rider, BrittLee Bowman, she's on Facebook and said you are welcome to get in touch with her about riding/racing etc. If  you can't track her down that way, let me know and I'll try again. She also reminded me of a racing series coming up for Cat 4 women only:

Whatever happened to the pictures. This thread started out with people posting pictures of themselves. Unfortunately, it looks like a lot of them got lost in the transition to this new forum. But we should revive the tradition.
Put money where my mouth is.

Here I am on going up Tunnel Rd in Berkeley, CA. 1970's Cilo frame that had been dipped in chrome, Campy nuovo record components, wool shorts and jersey, leather shoes with cleats, rat traps on the pedals, and 4-cross wheels fitted with sew up tires and tire scrapers to prevent flats. Check out the gear ratio (42x21). I've come a long way since then.

haha Stokes - we had the "check out the cool and or fred photo of me way back in the day" thread located elsewhere.
We saw Jules's dad ?on a folding bike?, Patrick as a junior, etc

Your supposed to post a CURRENT picture of you so new folks know what you look like and will say hello :)
Aside from those socks that look just about as tight as my pajamas, stokes looks pretty bad-ass to me. I'm not sure how he won that masters world championship jersey at age 19...

P.S. I miss Tunnel Road. A lot.

Here is a picture from a month or two ago. Nothing fancy, just some laps in central park.

Welcome Brian, Matt and Wes!
Hey everyone. My name is Eric Stein. I joined Kissena two weeks ago. Rode the new members ride in PP, and had a great time. I live on LI, and like to ride out east. I've done the triangle rides, but like to start further out, and head further out, (less traffic, nicer roads, etc...) Looking for any interested riders to get together. Let me know.
Welcome Wes, Eric and Aaron. See you on the road soon.
Welcome to all!

Aaron - what kind of track bike ? Have you ridden or raced at the track ? I race at the Kissena Velodrome most Wednesday nights - you should come out if your schedule allows it.

Hey all,

I'm Graydon Kolk (The pail lanky tattooed guy in the world famous Kissena video)

I'm good friends with, and work with Ros Knopov at our design studio, and we both had a big hand (along with Jules guidance) in designing the new kits.

Ever since I can remember I've been cycling in some form or another. My wife and I have recently gotten into touring so I built up an old peugeot frame and we have done a number of trips this summer.

I don't race (yet?) but commute to work on my track bike every day and ride my road bike most weekends.

Looking forward to being part of the club! Everyone I've met so far has been awesome.

Graydon welcome and thanks for your work on the kit.
Woot! Graydon is finally official Kissena yo! Any touring fanatics should hit him up.
Yo Graydon, welcome! Would love to hear where you guys toured this summer.
