Hi everyone,

My name's Phil and I joined a few months ago after moving to Brooklyn from the Bay Area. And I've been loving it, especially because of the warm welcome from KCC!

I'm originally from England but started racing about 4 years ago when I moved to Michigan - my initial stop in the States. My first and true love is cross, but I also race road and MTB (XC).

At the moment though, I'm dealing with an old injury that's preventing me from racing. That means CX will probably be my main focus this year. I should be able to join some group rides very soon.

Apart from cycling, I love surfing and yoga, and spend much of my time being a confused Englishman in New York ("Why is all the beer so cold?", "Oh no, there are so many other Brits - my accent is no longer special!").

I've had the pleasure of meeting some of you already socially or volunteering at L&C, and of course on your awesome New Members ride (@RichardCornetta, so glad you joined too!). Really looking forward to meeting everyone else.

By the way, if any of you ever have the occasion to be in the Bay Area with time to ride, I'd love to share some routes and introduce you to some rides to join. It's an amazing place. Please just drop me a line.

Hi Everybody!! My names Christina, I’ve finally decided to join Kissena after seeing you guys in Prospect Park for years and encouragement from Redbeard, I’m a ride leader and longish time customer.  I met a few of you on a recruitment ride a few weeks ago. This is my first year racing bikes, I dabbled last year in a few CRCA races, but focused most of the year on triathlons which I’m moving away from. Triathlons involve running, and thats just not my thing anymore. This year I’m looking forward to doing some CRCA Women’s races, as well as Bear Mountain in a few weeks. Also on my list for the year are  GMSR and D2R2. I’m a freelancer so if anyone is ever around for a midweek ride, hit me up! Hey team! My name is Eric and I joined Kissena last week. I've seen the blue and orange jerseys riding all over NYC, and especially in PP. I went for an introductory ride earlier this month, really liked the team dynamic and decided to join. 

I'm a soccer player turned triathlete turned cyclist due to injuries, or "physical maturation". (My body is wiser than I'd like it to be.)

I've done a number of tris and tours, but only started bike racing last year. 2017 goals include becoming a solid Cat 4/5 and seeing what type of power profile I can generate. I also signed up for the coaching program to see what gains a little structure will produce. 

Excited to be part of the team and looking forward to meeting more of you soon!
