Thanks fellas! I get random dudes in Kissena kits literally pushing me up the hill all the time. That makes membership worth it. Gotta grab a skinsuit next.
Hey team,

My name is Kevin, I've decided to rejoin the club after an inauspicious 2009 season, a modestly more productive 2011 one, and a real pleasant ride w tito and william a few weeks back. Heres a picture of me with a serious beard in 2009, after getting my kissena kit (excited). Looking forward to some camaraderie, and a little motivation to get up for those early morning races.
Hi5!

Welcome back, Kevin.
Loving the excitement! Welcome back.
Kevin,
Welcome back. I think the last time I saw you - CRASH on the west side - no?
Eric
Welcome back Kevin! Looking forward to seeing you out on the road...
Correct, Eric. That's right at the heart of the 2009 season being er.. inauspicious.
Hey everyone, just wanted to say "Hello"! My name is Ros, and I just formally joined the orange & blue this week.

So, here's the short of the long: I was born in Ukraine, raised in Sheepshead Bay (Brooklyn), work in Chelsea. 2011 was my first "official" racing season, which was also the first year I did any formalized training. I ended up doing a few Prospect park races in the Spring, finishing top 10 in my first two races I did ( raced only two last season). Joined NYvelocity team for a brief stint later in the year, and now feel like Kissena will be a better fit for me in 2012. Looking for a more consistent season in 2012 from myself, and hope to do many more races than in 2011. Also, I'm very excited to join what sounds like a great group of riders on Kissena and hope to be a contributor to this club!

By trade, I'm a graphic designer and run a small design studio in Chelsea. I'm also a bit (analog) synthesizer obsessed, so I do dabble in "music" (more noise than anything) when not riding.

Ros
My face :)
He Ros! Welcome aboard, and congratulations on coming over from the "dark side"
(we're going to have a darkside alum society soon :P)

Welcome back to Kissena! Nice beard man
i saw ^the beard^ live today

it was delightful
Thanks all!
OK, OK, enough gay beard love. Leave the man alone.

Does anyone else think it odd that this thread has mostly pictures of men in lycra with beards? I think we could charge a select group of clientele $9.99 per month for access.

I have a beard right now too.

For $9.99 I will post a picture.
if the picture has you wearing *nothing* but the beard, I'll pay...

do I owe somebody double now?
Hey guys, here's another nebula beard (plus a fire-breathing nebula dragon).
Hey there Team,

Ty Hatfield here. Just joined the club and am looking forward to training, racing and having a great time with everyone. I'm originally from Minnesota and have been in NYC for the past 6 years. Residing now in the slope. I'm a Chef by trade, most recently working at Momofuku. I grew up racing road bikes, started when I was 12, stopped when I was 19, and at 37 I'm back at it again. I'll be starting out racing as a 4 this season. Hopefully I'll see everyone out on the team rides sometime soon!

Ty
Sweet - another chef - we had James Leiken once - he stuck at the chef thing more than the cycling thing - he did ok though - http://www.palmbeachdailynews.com/news/james-leiken-named-cafe-boulud-executive-chef-in-1542219.html

does this mean you can help us get into Momofuku?

Welcome - Eric
I'll do what I can! I still have some pull at all of them except Ko. No one gets special treatment there. I was the Chef de Cuisine at Noodle for the past couple of years. On the hunt for the next move. Leaves lots of time for riding!

Cheers
AH HA - well, then - hope to see you out there soon.
welcome Ty!

looking forward to seeing you on the road and blabbing about noodles (i am addicted to chinese hand-pulled . . . would be addicted to ramen too if i wasn't a broke-ass student right now)
Welcome Ty!
Where in MN? Met my wife in MSP, you betcha!
(and all but proposed to her at the lucky peach :))
Welcome to the club Ty!

There must be some kinda swanky artisanal ramen out there that I haven't heard of, because when I was a broke-ass student ramen was the only thing i COULD afford to eat! I'm clearly out of the ramen loop.
