@Gwynna don't worry, with me included amongst those 27 racers, I guarantee you'll place in the top 26.

@ Jim - I might need a ride on Sunday. I will let you know.

Hey, here are a couple of links to a weekend primer of the ELITE action

And this link to my personal blog site has pictures...same words though:

Volunteers! We need you more than ever. Like everyone has said, this is a weekend to give back to the sport.  Please go to http://volunteersignup.org/QXKDH and sign up for stuff .

We need people in all sorts of spots, but these particular positions need to be filled, ranked in order of importance based on what we need vs what we have.

I saved this for a separate post. We need more post race teardown crew. 5 people only means a very late evening, potential for not getting our rental equipment returned on time, potential for not being off the highway within our permitted time, etc. Things that put us at risk for the future.

Everyone heads home as the races wind down. We are all going to work hard, and be tired, and if its 21 degrees, probably a bit cold. Wanting to head home is understandable - but if you can find a way to eek out just a hair more time, it would be an amazing service to the club. If 10 more people can commit to staying till at least 6pm, it will make a huge difference. Later would be even better :) Food will be supplied.
For course set-up tomorrow. Should we bring any tools? Such as hammers for driving stakes, measuring tape, power tools, etc?

I may bring a circular saw to cut down the barrier height.
Myles has enough hammers.  All you racers are the nails...
I can help with tear down on Sunday, but will need to find a ride.

Tim Heckman - where do you live ? We can get you surely get you back

@JoshuaC Park Slope, near the new PS133.

Allow volunteer work ? Yes Aaron, we allow it. Her help would be greatly appreciated.
Is anyone driving up there later in the morning or around lunchtime on Sunday who could give me a ride?

I have room saturday for one and their bike, or two without bikes.
What time are you guys going to be setting up till tomorrow? I'm working till 6pm, but I have a good light setup and a hankering for some pre coursing.

Gwynna Smith - yes I can make that happen.
After they register for spots at http://volunteersignup.org/QXKDH, have them contact me (preferably through the "contact event" link on bikereg)
mattie davitt - not sure yet but chances are someone will be there tonight after 6. txt me at 646-235-2336.

And you are free to come pre-ride even if we are not there

Hey just out of curiosity, why were the Master's 35+ 4/5 fields "closed" early (even though they didn't even get 30 registrations) while the other categories were left open to a grow?

Also, reminder for the Friday set-up crew. Have doctor's appt at 9:30 this morning, so I'll get up to the course ASAP after that. I'll be bringing my dog penny because she is excellent at course set up too.
They were closed because they are running as one race now with the 4/5 .

How does this effect the start times and race duration?
