(See if you can spot the elite women's champion riding in 20 degrees, with no gloves!?)

Here you go Gwynna...

Okay, so yeah, that's crazy...no gloves. But what was more surprising to me, is that she is wearing booties? How is that even possible? I mean, if you never have to run off road...I guess.

John, will you email me a picture of gloveless LVG, so I can post to the race FB page?

In other news, results have been posted to USA Cycling...and even though I protested my finish and they said they would fix it...they didn't. And that's frustrating. I did not get lapped. And I beat that RPI dude. Grrrrr....
@craig, and @malcolmson, those are some great shots.  Camera wizardry.

Next year I will consider the race a failure if someone doesn't do this

^ Lantern Rouge baby!

I did ride up the run-up on lap one and get to eat what I think was a red velvet donut. I entertained everyone by falling over on the run up on lap 2 (couldn't unclip fast enough). On lap 3 I was looking for the coffee to go with the donut.

The results above are missing handsome Joe and Stokes.
You seem to have missed me.
I finished just in front of Malcomson.
did anybody find a pair of Cannondale gloves on Sunday?

There were a bunch of items "found" email Myles; he's sitting on the pile like a mother hen.
those pictures are amazing.  next year I will be there on the race days!  i feel privileged to have been able to participate in such an epic event.  well done everyone.

volunteering at this event provides many benefits, including spiritual ones.  maybe it was just the fumes, but i began to have an out of body experience when i was leaf-blowing in the dark surrounded by woods.  it didn't feel like it was the machine blowing the leaves...it felt like it was my mind moving the leaves.  in short, the leafblower blew my mind.
Brendan *claims* he was leaf blowing, be we all know what he was really up to out there...

Hey photographers! So many great pics. But Craig was the first one who made it easy for a simpleton like me to steal the images off of his FB page, save them to my computer, then re-upload them to the official Supercross page.

If you've got images you'd like to share on that page, you can either send them to me @ marcbertucco@yahoo.com or post them on your FB page and I will pilfer them there. Flicker confounds me. And Jules, don't you dare tell me to Zip them or bulk file them or whatever.

I think there may be a way for me to make the album public so that anyone can upload their images...which might be the simplest of them all.
no photos for marc until hotlist is posted.

my mom and dad took some pics.

They also made some video clips. Not sure where to upload those to share. Mostly Saturday 2/3/4 men doing barriers and the run up.
(Cross-Post from Cylocross thread)
I've just belatedly posted about 30 photos I took of Kissenas by the barriers and at the top of the run-up (ride-up) at Sunday's Supercross race. Please let me know if for any reason you have problems accessing them here:

Yang y Jules. Will one of you two make me a sweet/funny gif of Super Cross Cup. Preferably something you took or have rights too
Ooh challenge.
I can't seem to find a vid of Super Cross.  Anyone have a good solid clip?  Otherwise I can use a random clip from a different race - which if it's messed with enough it can probably be under fair use.
registration appears to be open:

@eloy, thanks for the heads up! Row 1 here I come.

I think michael perlberg assigns all the numbers *mostly* based on cross results points but he certainly isn't opposed to a good bribe.

I've wondered about the propriety of the host club giving their members front-row callups in cross.  Such a thing is common in criterium and road racing.  Is it verboten, frowned upon, or unethical in cross?

All members of the club shouldn't get front row. Obvious.

Members (or non members) that have helped the race in some way --- essentially: friends of the race, are typically allowed good starting positions. That's never frowned upon, and sometimes results in 8 to 10 or so riders of the same club/team in the front rows.
