If any Kissena member plans on volunteering all day or would like to play a role as a on site "captain" contact me directly instead of signing up on the sign up sheet. Otherwise knock yourself out.

i am willing and eager to help out that weekend, but will still be in a sling. are there any jobs for one handed people?
Early morning Reg. The most important job!
@Will Kalbacker we would be happy to have you help and enjoy working with and cheering on teammates during the weekend.

In addition to registration, you can marshal course crossings. We will find ways have you help out. Go ahead and sign up!
Myles and I met up at the SupercrossCup venue today to lay out the course. This is gonna be a great one. I hope you’re practicing climbing and off camber skills. My legs are sore.

Myles has figured out how to improve the course over last year. Come race or come volunteer- either way this is going to be a great party.

Here is a sneak peek of the course. Myles decreased the climbing... by 4ft. Yeah, there is a lot of climbing and some is really steep. Make sure you bring your climbing cassette. He has plans for forays into the woods. Honestly, I’m a little scared, but maybe that’s just because the woods haven’t been cleared yet. There is a good chance that the finish will be on the track, which would be awesome.

The SupercrossCup volunteer raffle is getting more interesting.

All Supercross volunteers race for free, plus two THREE volunteers will hit the jackpot.

1 - All volunteers: Entered to win Van Dessel’s Whiskey Tango Foxtrot built with Ultegra 6800 and ready to ride!

2- Sunday night tear-down crew ONLY: Entered to win Van Dessel’s legendary Aloominator cyclocross frame!

3- KISSENA volunteers ONLY: a third Aloominator frameset for volunteering.

Notes:

The more you volunteer the more entries you will have into the at least 2 (and if you work Sunday night 3!) raffles

If you win an Aloominator frameset and want to swap it for a Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, Edwin at Van Dessel will be happy to oblige!

I’d love to help with morning reg and in any other way needed, but I’m guessing that I’m in a similar boat as others, which is that I haven’t locked down transportation yet. Also, the train wouldn’t be an option to arrive early enough to help with reg. So… is there a running list of people that have car space that plan on going? I can grab donuts and coffee, and help with gas!

I'll be heading up very early Saturday and staying until the bitter end. Happy to give rides there/back/both. I may also be going up Sunday but haven't nailed that down yet.
David

You bring up a great point. I encourage anyone who has a ride or they is looking for a ride to post to this thread. We can work out the details.

I may be able to have a couple of people stay overnight with me at my Mother’s place in Piermont. This may make it easier for some folks to make early morning volunteering. I will be on site at the race starting Friday morning through Sunday night.
@jim_nelson , I'd like to snag one of those spots for Saturday, please! Thanks!!
David - you got it.
i am planning to drive up on Saturday and Sunday. my wife expressed interest in helping out as well, so that would leave room for a cozy 3 people or comfortable 2. leaving from UWS.
Supercross cup is less than two weeks away. Come join the over 20 Kissena members who will be at the race to pitch in to make this a great race and have a good time.

Do I have to remind you that Kissena volunteers are entered into a drawing for yet another CX frameset!

Sign up today! http://tinyurl.com/supercrossvolunteer

I'm positive I'll be in NYC that weekend, but not 100% so will be a last minute volunteer if I can make it up.  Sorry I can't commit ahead of time, but if I can, I'll be there!
Team,
I will be going that Friday for set up from 9AM until 3 PM, if you want to volunteer I can take you there. No worry about gas and tolls, it's on me.
@Thierry Bonnaire I'll take you up on that.

Awesome!!!!

@Scott Kuhlke and others. Join us!

While we’d like to have you volunteer, we’d love to have you come and have a great time spectating, heckling, hanging with friends, eating, etc.

We don’t hold it against anyone if they can’t pitch in, but we appreciate any help we can get - even friends and family.

JP posted information on how to get to Supercross by car or train. Post on this thread if you are looking to Carpool. With over 20+ Kissena members heading up there there should be multiple opportunities to carpool. There may even be some housing options if necessary.

This is a link to the Rockland County (home of Supercross Venue) board of tourism materials. Good thing if you are looking to find out about hotels or eateries while you are up there. It looks good for the race if they gets clicks - so even if you aren't that interested - could you click through a little bit?

Thanks
I am planning on volunteering both Saturday and Sunday from start to finish.  I live on the UWS.  If anyone is passing through early in the mornings and staying until the end each day, please let me know!  I would need room for a backpack and bike as I will be jumping in the 3s race.  I am good for gas and tolls!
If you're craving a bit of supercross stoke, here is some quality throwback

Yes, he can get a one day, if he does, he would have to race as 5.

Or your friend could simply bring his English/European license and register on whatever similar category.
Hi, I've created a spotify playlist that will play during the races. Please add tracks to it:

I am driving up pre-dawn on Saturday, leaving Brooklyn by 5:00.
