Supercross Cup

I actually want to volunteer for both days. Going to request off that weekend from work. I was planning on renting a bike from nyc velo. I heard there is other rentals there as well. Anyone knows anything about that?

Anyone who is volunteering in the morning for both days have space in their car?

The NYC Velo bikes might well be free.  Call the shop and find out.  Van Dessel also looks poised to bring bikes and theirs are probably rentals.--I'd test out as many bikes as you can.  So if one is charging and one isn't, look at it as half off on both.

Bump for registration sign up:

I can't make it on Saturday, but will be there all day on Sunday.  Driving up with room for extra people/gear/bikes.  Hit me up.
I'll be up both days. Just for the morning and women's 3/4 on Saturday, and then racing/volunteering all day Sunday. Have room in my car for people (2 comfortably) but my bike rack is crappy.

FWIW, I'll be signing up/covering/volunteering plenty for OUR RACE! Just gotta check with my neighbor Todd M. to see what his plans are so we can maybe coordinate.
I am going to try to get Luka and I to do course reset on Saturday evening. Its questionable if we race. But I'll be there for club championships.
SuperCross Needs Your Funny!

Caption these photos (Mudface, Black & White, Champagne) to win never-ending fame and adulation of your teammates; plus some swag (to be determined) from the club.

Rule 1: Keep it clean; no swears, nothing derogatory, no twerking.

Rule 2: The awesomer the better

(more photos to come)
Garrigan--"mud baths are good for the skin."

Van Gilder--"Podium guys?"
imageedit: it hits the fan?  because future.

Garrigan. "I went to supercross and all I got was this helmet."
To appeal to all 3 Korean cyclocross racers...파이팅!

photo #2: "Win, lose, or race, you still get showered in champagne."
photo "where there is pain there is champagne"
Garrigan: clean fun it ain't.
These are awesome. I think we should take the good ones and ask David Yang to make an animated file that switches up the crazy caption . Can you do animated jpegs or just gifs ?

@ David - Bo and I both love "Fighting!" jpeg.

It hit the fan is also great.

When is the big sponsor reveal???

Sheeeeet.....just noticed that Tim Johnson is signed up for SuperCross this year! TIM JOHNSON. Holy fuck, I think our Elite field is going to rock.
Hey racers - I have the simplest "volunteer" opportunity out there.

I need someone who wants to enter 1 race on both days and has not registered yet to go ahead and register now, then email me at jcaesar.bike@gmail.com .

We have to test a change bikereg put in for us just now is working properly, I would prefer a real person\registration so we can avoid running refunds afterwards if possible.

thanks!

Joshua

@Joshua

Done
thank you!

Hey is there an official hashtag for SuperCross?

Hey is there an official hashtag for SuperCross?

There is a twitter handle @SupercrossCup which Myles sometimes uses as his personal relief valve... #SuperCxCup anyone?
reg'd for the 4/5 on both days and cx club champs. gotta scoot to work after, otherwise i'd heckle and race again.

So, Myles...burning question. Will you be designing a course similar to the "Roger Aspholm Westwood CX" course that's been used at this same location? Or do you have some diff't madness in store for us?

I mean, at a minimum, for UCI regs, I gather you'll have to change the hole shot a bit...
@marc Check out the race guide on the supercross site. There is a course map that looks both different and exciting

I just had a stroke of genius while doing 2 x 20s watching Tabor from 2011. We should have an exhibition race, set up of a very short, flat course with one set of 40 cm high barriers, at the proper distance apart.

Three teams.

Team one: The step throughs
Team two: The step backs
Team three: The bunnyhoppers

Time everyone through the section (make it short enough to minimize the differences in power/speed/fitness levels), average the times, fastest rider from the winning team gets a waffle with anything he/she wants on it. Waffle dudes are going to be at our race right?

Can I get Tim Johnson on my team?
I'll be on the bunny hop team.
