@Aaron you can ride with me.  I'm going up super early for AM reg table and sticking around for most, if not all of the day.

what about d all of the above?
Also FYI.  Am getting requests for host housing.  Any clubbies want to host wildly tattooed belgians? Currently have three requests

=single female elite racer, 1 bike, pet friendly, needing transport to venue both days.
-single male elite racer, possibly with mechanic, 1 bike, ditto
-single male racer, potentially 2 bikes, needing transport to venue both days.

All speak fluent english. PM me if interested.
@Gwynna, I have room for one or two more people with their bikes, depending on if my wife is coming.  Will let you know.

I must say..... after the zoolander gif I had set my standards very high for the "caption this pic" contest. that was brilliant

the best we could do was korean subtitles??
seriously?

did you see parbos poster/card?!?

he's like a goddamn viking godzilla or some shit. and hes dogmeat! tj will drop him like third period french. powers will ride him into the goddamn ground then trebon will trample him then I will unlap myself over his unconcious form on the way to throwing up in my own mouth. but he looks like a goddamn viking godzilla stud racer in the frickin card!!!!!

can I get some sharks with some frickin laser beams on their heads??

but seriously...I know we are super creative people with very nice hair cuts. so, I'll up the ante.

ill give free entry AND delicious Tates cookies to whomever comes up with the most rad caption. and I'll put some more pics up shortly.

sweet delicious tates cookies......

hit the fan was pretty good though.

Don't make me post jules bernie mac poster...
Challenge accepted.

And I mean that about adding vikings and sharks and godzillas and shit.  Not about the clever caption stuff.
I've got your captions right here...

(that noise is jules running across the room)
We just had a day pass racer sign up for FOUR races for Saturday. Not sure if they are really racing four races, or hedging their bet and picking races day of, but damm thats a lot of racing.

that should do it

FWIW, I think the problem with the "funny caption contest," is that these photos aren't especially funny. Their just good cool shots. I mean, I'm sure someone will come up with something but, I'm personally drawing blanks.

The only thing I got is to have the JP picture side by side with a picture of me and make some crack about how we're not the same person. But that's so insidery, and really, who cares? I barely do.
goddamn viking godzilla.....

Are you man enough?

Sven who?

Yes, I’m “that” kind of crazy
This girl will kick your ass

She’s not afraid of the mud. Are you?

Yes, I’m “that” kind of crazy

This is passion

This is psycho-cross

I am psycho-cross

We do this for fun

Are you passionate for cross?

Catch the passion
As I look at my mini-brainstorm session I came up with "come on, you know you want to do this" rather than "funny" captions. The funniest pictures are the snot/drool coming from the Thor like dude and intensity of the Timmerman with his glasses off. Timmerman looks like he could be in Taxi Driver. Can we make that funny?
yes
it pains me greatly that.... well... none of you are old enough to know what this means.

le sigh.
it's really not that hard.  How about... "If I get dirt on one more skinsuit beth is gonna kill me..."

See?  easy.

Patrick's last post, reference to Taxi Driver, made me think of a pun.

"Don't forget to tip your driver."

(taxi driver, good bike handlers called good bike "drivers" popularized by Meyerson--I think)

And then for the Anthony Clark pic...why not just take one of his own catch-phrases, tie it into a major accomplishment he achieved this year...

"Sick-What!" Because one UCI podium is never enough.
You can take the girl(woman) out of Brooklyn, but not the Brooklyn out of the girl(woman).

For any of the muddy face photos:  "Tastes like SuperCross.  And sod."

Other headline options:
  • Yeah, it's that kind of cross.
  • #becausemud
  • I'm pretty (the JP shot...just kidding)
  • You should see the other guy.
  • Timmerman tackles Bear (Mountain)
  • Mud Makes It Better (we've got hoses)
  • You're bringing your Rhinos right?
  • Brooklyn knows cross...get over it already.
  • UCI ranking C2.awesomesauce
  • Ranked: UCI C2.amazeballs
  • Beer before cross, never boss. Brews after two, you can't lose.

Okay, gotta go and you know ride my bike, instead of trying to be clever. I've gotta race this weekend and the boy is finally napping.

It would be helpful to know the context of where these images and headlines are going to be posted. Print? Online? Flyers? Also, as folks are thinking about your own lines, I think you should write things that answer the implied question "Why should I come to supercross?" Okay, that's it for hot tips from marketing marc.

Also I'm attaching another photo of JP because, well, because I think it's kind of cool. No other reason.
