I'm becoming annoyed with the 'Gould better do something or you will be logged out' nags. What's up with that? And the timeout period seems to have shortened considerably. I don't think we have much security risk on this forum. Do we?

@Stokes it is currently set to 30 minutes. We can lengthen it. Before there was no limit so the stats and status' (who is currently logged in) were meaningless.

I noticed that I'm not getting any email notifications of posts today where I was yesterday. Anyone else having this problem?

Ticket opened with Vanilla on the subject. Also asked why some emails have a chunk of the post in them and others just have a link.

FWIW- Me too. I noticed how much more time have during the day to do stuff like work when I'm not busy reading posts. Its scary.

I've noticed that Gmail has been dumping a good number of these emails into my spam folder. I checked the other day and found a decent trove of emails waiting there.

And the "new" Gmail inbox will put them in your "Updates" tab

Yesterday, gmail put my receipt for travel from southwest.com into my spam folder. Their filter is far from perfect.

I'm on Yahoo and checked my spam folder already. Nothing is in there. Thanks Jules for looking into this.

Ok, feedback from Vanilla is

a) check your spam folder - we got that one

b) might be you aren't getting ANY email because of a firewall issue; you can test this by choosing the "I forgot my password" link from the signin page. This will email you a link to reset your password; if you never get the email you'll know are being completely blocked. Please check this and report back.

And BTW I like to kick it old school. At least I'm not on my old Mindspring account.

This is a moderated forum.

While we don't necessarily object to Carlin's Seven Dirty Words we do try to keep the tone respectful and inclusive.

This means that occasionally comments are deleted by the moderators. When this happens the comment-er is notified. 99 times out of 100 in the clear light of day the comment-er agrees with the decision and is grateful for the help in removing their foot from their mouth. One last thing, the way Vanilla works, moderators can read "private" messages on the forum; so if you have something sensitive to talk about (I'm looking at YOU @Owens and your Rapha-support group) use personal email.
